Its a town. not much on the surface, but you didn't detect anything when you were near the well. the buildings are riddled with holes except for a couple, obviously theres not many people meatbags here.

Maybe its abandoned? Its pretty close to the Space Port, but then again you don't get much tourism these days, what with all the Outernet news about space pirates, space worms, space ninjas, space probes, and space priests searching for The Judge of Everything. (the tale of the Ultimate Weapon's blast (aka the Orange Planets) spawned a new religion of some kind, even though no one actually knows where it is anymore)
You dig back into the ground before you get hit by the ACID STORM again.

Also, radioactive gases like argon, as well as other, corrosive gases.
