Toony, you're really persistently trying to mangle my meanings and intentions to suit yourself to the point where I no longer think it's accidental... Why can't you just give people a straight answer without any bullshit? Why are you trying to hide and deflect so much?

Do you, or do you not, think that MBP is telling the truth about being a kook? And why? I find your opinions to be very important even if you don't think they are.

Also, I'd like to hear everyone's top 3 scumpicks, preferably with reasons. Here's mine.

1. MysteriousBluePuppet. Reasons outlined.

I say you are among my top scumpicks because, instead of just saying Town, which would have been a true fact for your alignment as a Kook, you went all shy and coy with it and roleclaimed without a good reason. Personally, I find preemptive defenses and claims to be scummy.
Kook claim can not be trusted, was unnecessary, was given with a bunch of strange behavior alongside, and is inherently stuffed with WIFOM. If that's really seen as unacceptable reasoning to vote on day 1, in a bastard mod, then I have no idea what to think about anything.

2. Dariush.

His reasons for voting you were mostly OMGUS. He's far too concerned with making himself look good. And on top of that, he's only had 5 posts this game, so he's clearly been lurky.

1) I've explained why I suspect Jim. Even though he changed his vote, I still see him as the most scummiest player.
2) From the first moments, I'm besieged by the most idiotic arguments ever. Should I just sit back and ignore them?
3) I respond whenever I have something to say or when I'm directly addressed. Also, about half of this game was spent arguing about whether MBP's claim can or can not be trusted. It was stated several times that that is a nulltell and those statements were ignored, so I didn't bother repeating what was said (and ignored) earlier.

A. Jim is pretty much being standard, uberagressive Jim. Your reasons for voting him are, nevertheless, based around self-preservation.
B. If the arguments are idiotic, yes, you should sit back and ignore them. Part of his goal was trying to get a rise out of you, because overreactions are scummy. You did just that.
C. I don't believe we're in random vote stage anymore, fella. Please share your opinions, you can begin by answering my question to everyone. And feel free to start actively participating whenever you like. (After the holidays, at the latest)

3. Toss up between Org and Toony, but I'm going with Org. Basically for being a lurkier version of Toony.

Dariush is the biggest fucking moron I have ever encountered in a game of mafia. Also, he has utter shit reasons for voting, misrepresents everything I have to say, and is only interested in keeping himself alive.

Let me ask you this: what if he had claimed Kook in response to a dopp investigation result?

Prima: "I am voting Secunda because I am a cop and I investigated Secunda last night and got a result of dopp."

Secunda: "The result is dopp because I am a kook. Also I can confirm Prima's cop claim."

After that, Town should lynch Secunda unless they have a very good reason not to.

I mean, that's sort of the entire idea behind the kook role, isn't it? You don't want anyone to investigate you, because it looks really really really bad and there's not really any viable way to confirm it. Anyone who is discovered to be a kook is highly likely to be lynched, that's just the way it is. But if they can help town before they die, or at the very least confirm someone as being a cop, (hopefully in such a case there's a doctor in the house to get a Follow-The-Cop situation going) then Town has a better shot at it than they did before. And if town wins, the Kook wins too.

In this case, lynching MBP helps town by getting rid of the WIFOM of having a self-proclaimed kook sitting around.

I'm not gonna coddle him, and try to protect him from the big bad world, just because he came out and told us he was a kook himself; that's just BEGGING for dopps to claim preemptively as a gambit in the future.

I mean, if you want to run pure numbers on the matter:
the chance of actually lynching scum on day 1 is 2/11 or 3/11 or something.
the chance of getting rid of a WIFOM-filled kook can be 100%.

If MBP is telling the truth, and is a townie kook, better to lynch him now, because his role is passively anti-town and can only cause trouble in the future.
I'm sorry, but that's just the way I feel about the situation.
If I were a kook, I would expect the exact same treatment if I were discovered, regardless of the circumstances.

The game isn't about not getting lynched, or what people think of you, it's about meeting your wincon, plain and simple.

A. It's my second game with Jim, and in both he constantly attacks me for any smallest reason. Yes, I lost a bit of temper. I'm such a person. So sue me.
B. Same reason.
C. My randomvotes were Org and Jim. The latter' continued attack on me confirmed my suspicions.
My scumpick:
1. Jim, because he's either scum or a really asshole town.

2. Argembarger because of his continued attempts to make something out of MBP's claim.

3. ToonyMan/Org because both generate insane amounts of WIFOM by being so unhelpful.
