As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Build a Star fortress, crew using population from mars

[5] Using the amazing power that are refugees, you build the amazing Star Fortress, as shining beacon for all non-zombified humans.

I and my crew take over a colony ship.

Spotting a colony ship, you command your pirate ship to attack it. [6] It turned out to be a Chryssalid colony ship, and a fierce hand-to-claw melee ensues.

ATTACK: [6] Through the use of high-powered weaponry, your crew tear through the Chryssalids.
DEFENCE: [6] Through the use of incredibly high reproduction, the Chryssalids tear through your crew.

As you kill the rest of the zombies with your flame-thrower (did I mention you have a flame-thrower? Shame it's empty now), you realize that it's just you and the Chryssalid commander. He makes the international sign of 'bring it'.

Make sure monkeys share bananas with snakemen. Meanwhile insure boxes stability by kicking it.

After ensuring that the monkeys share the bananas with the snakemen, you check the box's stability. [4] As far as you can tell with a swift kick (which is a lot), the box is pretty damn strong.

Build space train!

[5] With the construction of the Star Fortress, you decide that a giant Space Train is needed to carry people to and from it. With the use of refugees from the Chryssalid attacks, you build it in record time. As you survey you work, you wonder what could possibly go wrong.

Bombard the chryssalids from orbit.

The chryssalids must be destroyed, even if it means risking the destruction of the human race.

[1] The buttons are far too small for your mighty fists, and you accidentally hit the self destruct button. Why you were stupid enough to add it, you have no idea.

DEPLOY !!NUKULAH WEAPONS!!

It's time to deploy your nuclear weapons. Now, where's that kit? [3] After several minutes of work, the final result looks like it was made with cardboard and bits of string. Considering that you did make it with cardboard and bits of string, you are suitably impressed with your handiwork.

Item get: Shoddy Nuke!

PRACTICE MY FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH

[6] The Chryssalids are suitably impressed by your five finger death punch, and in time adopt you as one of their own.

Trait get: Friend of Chryssalids! (Chryssalids won't attack you on sight.)

The Chryssalids roll up into the town square, and decide to attack all the players, because they're jerks like that.

ATTACK [5] With a flailing of limbs, they charge at RedWarrior0.
DEFENCE [3] Distracted by his handiwork, RedWarrior0 barely dodges.

Ekk, Gah, Ouff! -1 health.

RedWarrior0 feels violated as a Chryssalid spawn is injected into him.

Effect gained: Zombification: Instadeath in one turn.

Having wiped out the humans on Mars, the Chryssalids turn their attention to the Star Fortress, and decide to attack through the Space Train. The snakemen tag along for fun.

MrNuke spawn in the Star Fortress. Hopefully to defend it, but knowing the players, he'll probably go off and do his own thing.

Due to GM confusion, Nirur Torir also appears, back in the twisted wreckage that was his ship. MrNuke is still present though, to ease pressures off the waiting list.

Total Number of Active Players: 8!

Roll to Forge the World is on Turn 21.
