Is this gonna have the same 'lol you're now at some weird bugged space station / brothel and you can't shoot people even though this is a shooter' parts ME2 had? I found that incredibly annoying.
I don't remember encountering any part like that. What are you referring to?  ???

Kinda wondering the same thing. All I can come up with is, this is a complaint that you can't shoot all the people on the citadel/omega/Tuchanka/Ilium? As opposed to opening fire on the Presidium in 1, while everyone politely ignored you.

I was than dropped of a space night club and the only thing I could do was drink something and than poss out. Never got any further than that.

Ok, I know what you're talking about now. You're referring to Patriarch the krogan on Omega, who was being hunted by assassins. Did you do the paragon thing and kill the assassins in his name? The renegade thing and let Patriarch die in battle? Something in the middle?

I thought that, too, but he didn't get that far. Read it again, he never played 1, did the tutorial missions, gave Veetor to cerberus, got poisoned by the Batarian in Afterlife, then quit the game. So, about 20 minutes of the 60+ hours of gameplay in 1+2.

Patriarch and Omega had nothing to do with ME1, but it sounds like you're right. I think the "old alien" thing screwed me up, since Veetor isn't old, just mildly schizophrenic.

Ah right, sorry. I meant "some other aliens wanted to take him" probably means Tali and her team. I assumed anyone who'd played much of 1 would know who Tali was, since you couldn't leave the Citadel without her. Either way, I think the original comment's been explained and we can move on.  :P

So, could anyone enlighten me on what Origin actually does nowadays? The DRM and other bad stuff, I mean, besides being another shopping platform.

I don't actually know ... they advertise it as, well, Steam (with fewer features). So I guess it's not completely unfair to consider it a less-mature Steam alternative. They have apparently agreed not to nab information about running processes and installed programs off of a user's computer, but in the end I'm still forced to download it if I want to play ME3 legitimately.

I'm just not too thrilled about having to install another application. I could simply avoid ME3 (or pirate it), but I love the series and this argument has been made by everyone else all over the Internet so I'll shut up now.

I'm party afraid that every publisher will want their own Steam-like application in the future. I really do not want to have dozens of stupid little clients installed just to play a variety of games.

This got me thinking ... know what I'd like? A Humble-Bundle type payment system where I could choose the ratio that my money is distributed (actors, dev team, publishers etc.), or even "vote" for things I'd like to see (more/less DLC, full expansions, getting rid of Origin). Not likely to happen with AAA companies. Oh well.

That's... Incredibly idiotic. I hate insulting people, but Wattefukbro? Even if an AAA studio ever did that, it would be a trainwreck of stupidity.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

I'd love it. The publishers would go out of business.

I loved ME1, hated ME2, and I'm going to basic training when ME3 comes out. I think I've had enough of the story to be satisfied. I'll miss Garrus though. We were buds.

Actually, I remember now. I needed to talk to some female alien in the Afterlife but every time I got within 2 meter from her the circle around her that made me able to talk to her disappeared. And as I played the game with my cousin we just played UT instead of trying to find a fix. So nevermind my rambling :S

So how big a fan of ME3 are you? A big enough fan to blow $850 dollars to get every piece of ME3 DLC available?

That is so tucked up.

...I know I've been saying it too much lately, but I guess I've been finding myself at a loss of words a lot lately as well, and I kind of wore out "I have no words".

Anyway, I'll be waiting for some kind of DLC-included Gold/GotY version, I guess.
