Hopefully they don't do the Zaeed thing and barely give him any dialogue. The missions seemed to indicate that the game was developed with him in mind and he's the first person you recruit, other than Miranda and Jacob, but go down to talk to him and...

Shepard: What's this?
Zaeed: It's my gun I never use. *tells story*
Shepard: So... anything else?
Zaeed: It's the gun I never use. *tells story*

His character development takes place over a single mission and his loyalty ability seemed to be the least useful of all.

As for the 'boycott lol' messages: said things only ever work on a personal level, never en-masse (at least for these games).  I know I didn't want to deal with Starcraft 2 (no lan) and Diablo 3 (RL money auctions) so I simply decided never to buy them, nor even pirate them (my time is worth far more than pirating games to get around stuff).   As far as Mass Effect goes, it will probably be a rental for me still, as I enjoyed 1 (and somewhat less, 2) enough.

If there are any plotholes / neat stuff, and I am still interested, I will look them up online and watch them on youtube, rather than buying DLC.  I don't think they can offer me anything that could justify a full purchase / dlc at this point.

He did have many of the same in-mission chatter blurbs as everyone else. He was also the only squad member that offered disruptor ammo, and the incendiary grenades had a slightly larger area than incinerate, without having to justify bringing Mordin along just for that.

Kasumi had about as much dialogue, even less development (all she talks about is the crew. At least Zaeed has war stories), and she cost money, but I haven't heard anyone complaining about her yet. Oh, Asian chick, got it.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

I don't have Zaeed or Kasumi. In fact, I don't have any DLCs :P

For the missions I was talking about the Blue Sun commander's reaction to Zaeed in Archangel's recruitment mission. I never noticed that Mordin was the only crew member with incinerate (because I play engineer), I guess I was put off by the awkwardness of the games only grenade.

How to boycott EA in a manner (most) of us can live with:

Step one: write angry letters to EA also possibly use more then one email account.
Step two: get other people to do steps one and three.
Step three: wait a month to get the game so you hurt EA's profit in the opening days some what and you know if the game is crap.
Step four: note how you A: hurt EA's profit a bit so they will destroy mass effect and bioware or B:this has no effect at all but you (hopefully) feel better.

Shame about this the combat is nice and if Mass Effect 3 could have decent writing it could be a ok or even great game but that's EA for you.
Also shotgunning infiltrators are great fun to play and surprising viable.

Here's the thing: I don't want to destroy Mass Effect. It's been my favorite sci-fi universe since Star Wars, and considering the amount of science fiction I read, write, or play games of that's saying something. I wouldn't mind the series being under different management, but I'd prefer it if the franchise stuck around for a while longer.

It's a pity EA will never release their hold on the Mass Effect IP. This is a Class 1 Halo Effect in motion.

It worked with Dragon Age I think

The person supporting regenerating health, when asked why you can see when shot in the eye justified it as 'you put on an eyepatch'. When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

Mako was fine. If you told it to go directly forward it would climb almost anything, if you moved it from side to side trying to make it go faster it fell over. Pretty sure people just sucked at handling it. Even if you're in a humvee you still have to be careful, after all.

Is this gonna have the same 'lol you're now at some weird bugged space station / brothel and you can't shoot people even though this is a shooter' parts ME2 had? I found that incredibly annoying.

I actually liked the handling of the Mako, it was the pointless and big ass exploration maps that were a huge time sink and boring as hell.

I shed tear when Mako was destroyed at the ending. It was kinda like seventh party member to me. The last rush to the gate with Mako was great moment in Me1.

I didn't shed any tears, but that last charge past Geth Colossi was pure win.

I don't remember encountering any part like that. What are you referring to?  ???

This is what killed ME1 for me.

At first I was like "Planetary exploration?" <3

After my 4th planet though, it quickly became :|
