I kinda like that. The thing is, we've already had the Borg. They were called the Sixth House. Virus-like infection that goes from host to host? Check. Changes their physical appearance to monstrous, yet grants greater strength? Check. Turns the individual into a mindless drone? Check. The higher-ups prattling on about how they're doing everyone a favor and you only oppose them because you're too primitive to understand? Check.

This is highly relevant.

P.S. It might be mildly NSFW.

Oh gawd........ That was fantastic. Much better than Bethsoft's version. :D

Edit: And yeah, that was pretty much my reaction to the announcement. ;)

You forget that Captain Picard recognized you as The One from his dreams and prattled on about stars and fate.

Shit, you're right, I did forget about that. But that was just about the only time the subject came up, and the dude's not exactly mentally stable. It was a way more prominent plot element in Morrowind.

Now that's an interesting idea for a mod: take a bunch of stupid sounding lines from Star Trek said by Picard, like "Make it so, number one!" or "Raise shields, phasers on-line, fire a warning shot!", put them together in a plugin and change all the King's dialogue to match, and all the responses from the player basically amount to "WTF you crazy senile old fart?".

Or better yet have him say lines from this.

Then you also can use stuff from X-Men and American Dad... ;)

And let's not forget Dune and The Prince of Egypt.

If people can assemble a script from Patrick Stewart sound bites, I can make this mod.

I'm pretty sure that it can start out sounding kinda like the original, and then just devolve... I'll have to take a look at this.

See, replacing Uriel's lines with those of Picard is funny because it's the same actor. Throwing in Vader is just random. Random ≠ funny.

Everything is funny when said in Vaders voice. Anything that isn't serious becomes strangely... believable.
