Oh, I was looking at the wrong thing for DEM.  So between December 30 and January 7th DEM created 22 threads for a total of approximately 2.75 new threads per day.

Cheese has created 27 topics between June 2nd 2010 and January 6 2011 and made 983 posts between June 2nd 2010 and January 18 2011.

He also really ought to update the first post with new info!

He is thanked for that but is asked to link to screen shots as well if at all possible.

The new engine looks awesome. Have any screenshots of what characters look like been revealed yet?

That would be one sign from Bethesda that they've turned over a new leaf: if they can actually make an attractive, customizable face using their technology. Since Morrowind, every character's face has just looked WRONG. Even when it looks great in the editor, in game it just looks terrible. Fat faces, weird shadows being cast...it's gotten to the point where it's almost iconic of Bethesda games that characters look plastic and ugly.

That's what I'm thinking. If they mess up the faeces again, It's a sign that they haven't learned anything.

Whats most weird is that their engines are CLEARLY capable of good faces and they just..I dunno, choose not to? The modders do a much better job with faces than Beth ever have.

I think they just randomise the faces then shove them in game whilst cutting out any that look too weird.

Personally, I think it's just effort and tweaking that Beth has never been willing to do. To be fair, there are a lot of areas in their tools they had to address....but modders have clearly shown it's just a time/preference thing. Although I find it hard to believe the people up at Bethesda are in love with those faces.

You know what setting would be awesome that is outside of the empire? Akaviri, when Tamriel was invading. An entire unmentioned continent.

isn't that the one built as a fantasy japan copypasta? no thank you. tes has enough lore of its own and even as it is it has so much cliché to make tvtropes ashamed.

Not really. It has snake and monkey people and stuff. It's generally treated as "exotic" in comparison to Tamriel, in a few ways.
