I don't think there have ever been dragons in Elder Scrolls, just hints.  The closest we've gotten was Martin turning into one.
There was a dragon in Redguard. Otherwise, most other appearances of dragons are really more depictions of gods - Akatosh, Peryite, the Akaviri dragons (those that were made extinct). Of course, I remember some dev or another saying that they always wanted to include real dragons, but the game engines was never enough to make them justice.

Quote
then gone and drank some of Martin's blood to gain Septim blood myself, thus fulfilling the requirements for wearing the Amulet

I don't think that is how Vampires work.
Even more, that's not have the Dragonblood methaphysics work.

I'm happy with that as long as it doesn't become less mod-able. Which of course would be an enormous letdown.
Wouldn't surprise me the least if it did. There ain't no money in letting customers make their own content, instead of buying DLC:s. Of course, construction sets is as tradition with Bethie as it could be. I would be very disappointed as well if it was no included.

If we're lucky, they'll fix the construction set.
What do you mean? It was always usable for me.

Game series that mess with their own lore confuse me.
I think Cyrodil would have been cooler if it was all jungle like. Morrowind was interesting because it wasn't all green, rolling hills and what not that i've grown accustomed to in fantasy games. Oblivion, thusly, was not very interesting to me. Wolves and bears and trees and who gives a shit. Also the most generic hell i've ever seen in a game, repeating dungeons, etc.

I don't know if someone hasn't said this already, but actually apparently this is using a new engine!

Yeah, I mean... nothing of any substance has been revealed.

Why in the world are people already talking about it? I'd like a screen

Well it was an official announcement...via Twitter.
Look, the fact that it's using a new engine means maybe we may see something better than the (Very dated) appearance of previous games.

Has nothing to do with rumor mongering. I was half bored playing FO3. You would have to pay me to get really excited for another Bethesda offering, set in a world I haven't given a shit about in 6 years or more, and didn't give a shit about the last time I played it.

Well to admit the Elder Scrolls world is rather extremely boring.

"Long time ago something ACTUALLY interesting happened that caused the world to become incredably boring with only shreds of actual plot"

"These shreds eventually came together to form plotdevices"

The end!

That's actually like 75% of fantasy settings right there. Hell, stories. A lot of that has to do with copying the lord of the rings (in which the events of the book are a conclusion the events which happened a long time ago and would have been a rather simple plot) but nonetheless there's nothing wrong with it.

They built a new engine with the help of ID software.

Well in Oblivion everyone was relatively calm with the world practically ending infront of their eyes.

Storytelling isn't Oblivion's best suit.

Then again I can't hold them up to the same standards of other RPGs that actually simulate political climate and how the relating disasters actually are affecting the world beyond one trump mission.
