I have a 4-5 page essay and a band concert tonight, so don't expect an update until tomorrow.

Just want to verify something.
When it comes to the 1/route thing, is that for the FIRST time you enter the route? What about the times you pass through it 18 times just cause of Story...

What about multi layer dungeons. The Vast ones, where you are stuck in them for Many RL days cause you get lost in the darkness and each 'night' ((as explained by your glow in the dark but not enough to push back the darkness watch states)) you crawl into a deep corner that you somehow found hoping it to not be the open jaws of the stone snake known as onix and fall asleep listing to the creatures of the caves moving about, devouring eachother to live and survive, silently praying to the gods that they do not sense your warm blood and find you a tastier meal then their last and come join you in your corner, and hug you tightly with their giant claws of doom...

Also what happens if you can't catch a pokemon that can learn Flash, are you spos to fumble around the darkness. If so, I reckon that this would be an EPIC Blind Run for the new Black and White pokemon games coming out...

1/route is the FIRST time you enter a route.

Multi-layer dungeons count as one route I think.

I generally make exceptions for learning Flash/cut/surf/fly/etc and just catch anything that can use it

Once you catch the route's one and only Pokemon, there are no more to be had, even if you enter the route a zillion times. Caves count as one route. As far as HM's go, I generally just teach them to my Pokemon. Using a rod, you can almost guaranteed catch a water Pokemon before you get Surf/Dive/Waterfall. Fly and Flash aren't necessary, they just help.

Also what happens if you can't catch a pokemon that can learn Flash, are you spos to fumble around the darkness. If so, I reckon that this would be an EPIC Blind Run for the new Black and White Pokemon games coming out...
Actually, after this game I'm running through Crystal like this, having never played the Generation 2 games. I'm running through Black as normal, though. I can't read Japanese very well and that's challenge enough.

One Pokemon per route whether it's a land route, sea route, or both.

Also, update will be tomorrow. Had a crazy band concert and I am defecated.

(I also love pseudo-synonyms)

The next Pokémon with fists shall be mine and I request it called "STEELFIST" (all caps) if it has fists or "DEATHBLOODCLAW" (also all caps) if it has some sort of talon / claw.

Thank you.

Sorry, can't take any requests until my updates catch up to my progress. Currently working on the next three simultaneously. It'll take a while longer, but the story might be more coherent.

what is this i dont even

You haven't played any of the second gen games? You might want to play a 4th gen remake of G/S, as they have abilities in them, new moves, and the special/physical attack split to help out some Pokemon (such as Arcanine, which had a good Attack stat but no STAB moves that took advantage of it until 4th gen).

Thing is though, I've already played halfway through Heart Gold, but my DS broke. Thus I'll just borrow Crystal from a friend of mine.

Working on posting the update now.

Ah, second gen games. They're rather fun I guess.

I was rather dissapointed with the second gen games because it felt so... simplified. There weren't any hard or challenging puzzles in the second gen (except of course, the god damn ice cave) and rather felt easy. I, in the end, never found Lugia on my silver though. x.x
