After the long, tiring mission in the sand came to the end, you were transported back to Cambridge Base with rather lack of ceremony or cheerfulness. Only after you have arrived at your base, Weissritter welcomed you back personally, in the hangar.
"Well done, rookies... I shouldn't call you that, I think. Well done, pilots! I'm quite happy with the results of the training mission and Razimov noted that your performace was a notch above average. I also want to thank you for dealing with the berserk AI. And about that old man - he had a heart attack and thus he was expelled, and now is resting in Londol Central Hospital. Now, before you will go to your room for a rest, I will tell you the schedule of next day. It will consist of shooting test, artillery handling test, weightlifting test, tactical prowess test, and general armament and mecha knowledge test. All of them will be coordinated by Dr.Simon and Dr.Hakuba, as well as by my aide Razimov." The Commander took a brief pause here and looked to the side of the hangar, where stood, fairly new, specialized mecha, not the PS-1 crap.
"The outcome of those tests will determine which kind of equipment license you will get, and thus, which one of the mecha you will be allowed to pilot. Good luck, pilots! Dismissed!"

The tests begun fairly early at the morning, the test at the shooting range being the first. And then, artillery handling, where both aim and mathematical skills were tested. And the weightlifting, with the game of chess - as tactical prowess test - going on just after the previous test.
They did allowed you an hour-long break before the main test would commence.
And actually it was a lot of paperwork. Questions of many different kinds - from mecha specifics, through decision-making questions, to the psychological questions of 'What a good Mecha should have' kind. And many, many others. Filling all five pages took a long time but at late afternoon, everyone was free to get some rest, while the results of the intense testing were processed by humans and computers together.
And in meantime...
Mrs.Aida Hakuda unlocked the mecha armament database for you!
A woman joined your group of brave pilots. (Sanya [Metal Militia] joins the game!)===
