Super Robot Wars, basically an insanely popular japanese series of turn-bases strategy games that combines various mecha anime into one huge story. Only two have come out in America and both of them have a mech called the Weissritter.

Super Robot Wars W was supposed to come out in the US, every series in it was licensed in America, but somehow never got translated in time for release. Mostly, the only reason they don't come out in America is copyright issues

Recommendation: Derek is excitable, to say the least. He is also very competent behind the controls, proving this through hours on simulators. He has a little skill with rifles, spending much time in marksman competitions in highschool and secondary school.

Recommedation: an experienced reconnaissance officer, he has seen action in Java and singapore as an infantryman and in borneo as a pilot.

Don't forget to include infantry battle mechanics:
Mechs are pwnage, but a well-trained group of commandos can be far more effective, and I doubt the mechs will be effective in stealth missions.
And there is always a stealth mission.

Weapon types...

There are Blades (melee weapons), rifles and aimed rifles (short-range), cannons and howitzers (long-range) and missile launchers (flexible short&long range thingies).

For now, I don't plan *yet* any infantry missions. Mecha only *for now*.
