"I should of brought my pepper spray..." Sally says, frantically snapping pictures and backpedaling.

Sallly looks for a good size rock to throw at the creature

*SNAP, SNAP, SNAP*
These are a few blurry pictures of a Giant Cave Fisher. It still sort of looks like a rock...with pincers and legsl!

Trent sees his opportunity as the lilly bashes its... head?... against the floor. He immediately turns and runs for it!

Jones whips the cave fisher in the eyes, trying to blind the beast.

Take out my bat, and wait for the fisher to make the first move.
Maybe it's friendly...

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Must...remember... Sensei Katadomono..."You must strike with the precision of a Spring Dragon!"

Sally preforms a swooping dragon punch on the creature

(I don't think a pickaxe would be part of basic spelunking gear.  I can't really see how you'd need a pickaxe to explore a cave in a basic situation.  Creating new caves is not really part of basic spelunking.

And I'd rather not have people switch their skills.  You can blame me for missing out on +1s -- I am not too used to keeping track of all these stats and I do sometimes miss some.  Just ask me and I'll fix your result to include the +1, although I can tell you that a 3 in a cave of this structure still wouldn't find you a big rock.  (John only found a big rock because he rolled a 6.))

Okey. Sally all of a sudden remembers her lifetime love of martial arts...

Jones tries the whip again, trying to pull down a large rock from the ceiling onto the cave fisher's head.

Keeping calm, Trent tries to hack his way out of the vines.

Results - Turn 8:

Spoiler: Joe (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Sally (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: John (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Jones (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Stalactite (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Trent (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Great Cave Lily (click to show/hide)

(Yay, you killed your first monster!  And don't worry about the whole changing skills business, Dwarmin--your charactes will gain additional +1's, or higher pluses, over time... for example, practicing her martial arts enough on monsters (or chaotic neutral teammates that drop a stalactite on your head) will get Sally an additional +1 in martial arts.

Health & status post updated.)
