Confused as heck in Winterpeg. Somehow we are missing the Snowpocalypse due to Too Far North??

There are many issues with this statement.

I live in Australia, and I could REALLY use some snow right about now.

Greedy snow-hogging Americans...  >:(

Try waiting until summer, Australians. You'll get your winter weather. I think...

But others might prefer to have the mess contained behind windows to avoid tracking blood all over the their nice, color coordinated floor patterns. Kind of the Ozzy Osborne vs. Martha Stewart debate.

I thought Australia had like, warm winters(summers?).  What I'm saying is, I thought their cold months were still kinda warm.  I'm kinda bad at geography, so I'm only guessing at how close they are to the equator.

Pretty much. Snow is only in high spots for us.

I'm flooded out though (I'm in Wagga, for anyone watching the news). No damage to my stuff, but its the most media attention Wagga's had in ages.

Two "feet" of snow? That's like less than 70 cm, right?

Stop shivering and grab a shovel  ;D

I'm actually quite nice IRL, but you people have to pay the price for that.

Now stop being distracted by the rudeness, quit your accusations of trollery, and start arguing like real men!

It has been consistantly much warmer in New York, New York, than in Raleigh, North Carolina over the past week. Figure that one out.

weather patterns, warm fronts clashing with cold fronts and all that, means that being farther north does not automatically mean you get colder weather on a given day. On average, closer to a pole means colder, but on a given day (or even over longer periods of time) that's not necessarily true.

Sydney is the same latitude south of the equator as Phoenix is north of it.

Swede here, I'm so used to the snow it's like an old friend :D though it's messing traffic up a whole lot this year...

Apparently buses and trucks aren't required by law to have winter wheels. You'd think it's in their profit interest what with avoiding toppled vehicles and killed drivers and all ... trains are also taking a real beating just like last year.
Apparently importing italian trains has been easier than getting proper snow-equipped ones. Once again .. you'd think people'd think past their noses.

Now if you excuse me I do believe there's a sock out in the blizzard somewhere

Seattle here, and we had a cold front push down from Alaska and drop about 6 inches/20cm last month. It lasted about a week, and then it warmed up again, and the rain washed it all away. Currently in the 40s-50s(5-10C).

southern Maryland here, we just had a bit of rain. However, I just recently visited Missouri and on the way back from there, there was snow on the ground from Kentucky to West Virginia.

Hmm? a Blizzard you say?
Here in greenland such things are common during winters.

this year however, the snow have been melting, snowing again, melting again,
and now it have been snowing and according to the forecast that should stay for a while.
