*Tries the alpha*
Little dorf is adorable! =3
Well, going from what I just saw, and it wasn't much beyond how smooth this is, and some of the graphics and such, this ain't no DF, but then again it isn't DF now is it? This looks to be a realy interesting game that is likely to take on a personality of it's own, so the kind of thing I would play, and still play a lot of DF.

Great potential for great game.

I realize it's an early alpha, so when I ask this it's not meant as a jab or rude comment. But is there much point to it right now beyond building random things out of scaffolding and making your dwarf run between food and water?  It's entertaining, and there's certainly a lot of promise, but right now there doesn't seem to be much to do...

There's something about the screens in this game that remind me of King Arthur's World from the SNES.  I always thought it would be cool to play as the enemy factions, building the castles, traps and dungeons in that game.

The Alpha looks like just a demonstration of current pathfinding capability.
You build various mobility items (rock, dirt, ladder, scaffolding, etc).  Then you "build" meat and water tile, and watch your 1 dwarf going around eating and drinking.
So no gameplay yet.

One of the toads decided to go for a swim in the moat - presumably because he could path through the moat to my dwarves. He is not charging in, just loitering in the moat.

The toad is having a nice relaxing swim.
The goblin mounted on his back, however, is drowning.

Now this is something worth of me apreciation, really nice~
Specialy since this is the one of the very few DF inspired games that actualy uses its own concepts and ideas instead of just trying to reverse engineer DF, really hope you keep developing it.

Hmm, is this game in any way also inspired by Diggles: The Myth of Fenris? Because as far as I could remember, that game was a side-scrolling-DF-similar-game from before DF. I'd be glad to get such a game considering how Diggles was quite lacking in polish. Modding ability is also a plus if possible, of course.

Polish, depth, bugtesting, playability...

Like the fact it automatically set itself to 5 frames per second and would not budge from it hell or high water.
