Has anyone out there made or toyed with an "Easy Armies" Mod.  Like a mod which takes the military system back to what it was in 40d.  The current military system in DF 2010 has resulted in me stopping playing for the first time in 2.5 years.

Military is hardcoded.

You'll need to play 40d if you want 40d military.

I just want to say that I felt the same way when I first saw the new army work. However, I would like to point out that once I managed to get up and figure out how to do it it now works amazing. I mean, it may look like it takes a bunch of work, but once you get the hang of how everything works it goes so much faster and allows so much more control than the old game did. So if it seems like it takes forever to get your armies set up, just have patience, after a bit when you get the hang of it it becomes much quicker and easier to do.
