I think I accidently humans.
« on: December 09, 2010, 02:30:05 pm »

I was playing with worldgen again (Perfect World is awesome, btw), increasing this, removing that, generating new noise fields, and now when I generate new worlds, humans go extinct before the end of worldgen half the time. Has anyone any idea what could I change in worldgen parameters, because I honestly don't remember?

The forgotten beast Namicamela has come.  It is a colossal fluffy wambler.  It has thick, soft fur and undulates adorably.  Beware its awwwwww, aren't you a fuzzy widdle guy.
In software development, the first 90% of the project takes 90% of the time, the last 10% takes the other 90%.

There are many issues with this statement.

Apply more magm... err, oops, sorry.
How long do you leave worldgen on, by the way? With 250 years, I systematically get humans, even if I don't always come in contact with them right away.

I don't mean to alarm you, but it appears that your Dwarves are all in fact elephants.

If I remember correctly, humans needs a decent amount of grassland to get started. Also, high savagery and beasties can kill off civilizations early.

This. Also, evil biomes are not used either.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.
