ok is this game worth it for the funz or not?

Yeah. Just have the volume off, and go do laundry every time you lose control. You can't skip cutscenes. Goddamn "cinematic" game trend is really pissing me off. Io was good. FFVII? Not so much. (Hides from rabid fangirls.)

If anything, Other M stands out as something fresh.  I think pop-culture needs more Chivalry, women who just want to be swept off their feet.  I think that's why I've been so into reading A Song of Ice and Fire lately - George RR Martin doesn't fall into the current of politically correct and he's seen a lot of success from it (including a new HBO series come out next spring).

There is a very fine line between "Chivalry" and Piers Anthony Complex. Team Ninja? They've puked on, shat on, and spit all over the line so much, anything they touch turns into a fapping aid. Now, quit trolling, and go back to YouTube, where you can watch some videos with thumbnails of Zero Suit Samus. In fact, here is one where I've put a detailed analysis of Samus' uncanny boob size change. While Samus was in the hospital for what ever reason at the GF, they must have put in enough silicon in her boobs (And perhaps her ass), that now they weigh so much, she could easily be a world's strongest man weight.


Anyways, I'd say the big problem with the game, was that it was placed wrong in the timeline, JUST so that they could give Samus one more mommy issue (Baby, from SM.) It would be most fittingly placed pretty much straight after Metroid 1. Put it there, and the whole thing falls into place. Name an issue, I'll give rebuttal. And to stem the first torrent, the big issue with the way upgrades are dished out would be caused by Samus not having quite been used to either the suit itself (and it's capabilities), or the stress that comes with real combat. The "hell run" without the Varia suit was caused by Samus not recalling the Varia suit's powers, until Adam, in distress, tells her to use the goddamn Varia suit, which he though she'd have done on her own. The Ridley scene is explained by Ridley coming out of fucking nowhere. He was a BUNNY before then! How was she NOT supposed to be caught off guard by seeing her worst nightmare revived before her eyes.

Varia suit is automatic. It can't quite take immersion in lava, but being around it is automatically handled. Period. You go into a hot area, the suit compensates.

But she already curbstomped him over and over!  Remember, "Metroid is a pretty cool guy, eh fights aliens and doesn't afraid of anything."  Seriously, Samus is an exterminator.  When an alien needs killing, she kills it.  If she even has a worst nightmare, I assure you it has nothing to do with being FULLY ARMED.

Hell, she didn't even flip out too bad in Zero Mission when she got shot out of the sky and lost her freaking suit!  She's a god in power armor and she knows it.  I can't imagine her having a breakdown in any situation where she wasn't totally powerless.  And really...can you imagine Samus powerless, because I can't.  If she was going up against five hundred space pirates and didn't even have her Zero Suit, she would punch one of them in the face and steal his gun.  No wait, she would steal his ARM.  Come on.  She's a bounty hunter.  Bounty hunters don't have emotional breakdowns when they go up against the creatures that they are used to hunting.

Well, I sorta see how meeting Ridley yet again, despite beating the living bejeezus out of him and blowing up the planet he was on TWICE, could cause trauma; in the form of "This will never end and I'm doomed to repeat this scenario over and over again". But if that was the case, you'd probably see Samus going "Fuck it", beating the crap out of him again, cutting up the corpse into indistinguishable chunks via giant eviscerating machine, then loading the whole thing into some giant-space nuke and sending it into the sun.
