"I guess we could work a game..." Aaron paused for a second. What WOULD he want to do? There were so much options to choose from... and then it hit him.

"Maybe a sort of 'God Game' where you are a ruler over a region, competing with other gods?" was all that came out of his mouth. Now that he said it, it sounded a bit stupid. "Um... maybe the player would have to send their own creations to fight other creations made by a computer? Thats all which comes to mind immediately..."

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Donny sat up in bed and sleepily gazed at the alarm clock. It took a few seconds for him to register the time.

"God fucking dammit", he muttered as he rolled out of bed, narrowly missing the corner of the bedside table as he plummeted towards the ground. He hit with a resounding thump.

Fifteen minutes later he was standing in the room, a latte in one hand and a packet on cryptography he'd managed to dig up out of the hell that was his desk.

"What I miss?" He said, quite groggily.

"Not much, we are brainstorming ideas for the game we will make for the company."

"I'll get back to work on these graphics, as they're apparently an H.P Lovecraft novel."

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

"A 'safe' game, so I presume it can't just be blood and guts. However, there is nothing saying that we couldn't do something cool without that..."

Matthew throws the floppy the graphics are saved to in a fit of rage. "How did I manage to get them THIS messed up?!"

Allan jumped up out of bed, excited for his new job, forgetting that he was on the bottom of a bunk-bed. Nursing his now sore head, he reached over to look at his cell-phone for the time. "Holy Quater, i'm late," he exclaimed, dashing around his room in search of clothing. On his way out, he grabbed an energy drink, and chugged it down on his way to his car. When he finally got to the office, the other developers were discussing what kind of game was going to be made.

"Um... Hi, guys. Sorry i'm late. What's up?"

"Oh, we are just brainstorming." Cassandra says. "And possibly-- OH MY GOD THE COFFEE'S GONE!" She screamed as the last drop of Coffee went into her cup. She ran around the room, yelling and screaming about the Coffee until a very disturbed Coffee Guy came in and refilled the coffee.

"Thank you." She said, gracefully.

"Anyway, God Game Sod Same. Lionhead Studios did that, and did it well. I think we should go with a zombie game. Zombies are in, right?" She asked.

"Zombies are difficult to work with. We're low budget, so we shouldn't go for something that would require so many mobs spawning in single maps. Let's build off of the God Game idea for a bit before completely dismissing it. I have something in mind."

"Listen, god games take a load of time. The audience wants Godhood, not something else. If you are going to make a god game, do it right. This means we need complex environments, loads of time we don't really have and the ability to interact with good AI, another thing that costs time and money. I know! We could be very cheap and mod some engine to work for us. I vote for source, personally. It's got all the AI, materials and mapping down, all we need is some modeling done and maybe storyline concepts." Cassandra left a beat.

"Hell, we could do something like Dear Esther. Everyone gets excited at artistic games. Even if it all goes wrong, the coding is insane, the modeling looks like someone ripped out their own eyes and vomited onto the computer, the AI is dumber then a single hammer and the materials are incredibly low res, we still got the artistic merit."

"Artistic merit my ass. Can't we be original? A god game would be nice if we had the resources of someone like Lionhead. I say we stay small for now. Any OTHER ideas?"

"OK...Why not something simple? Like, bounce a block between two paddles, but then it goes insane, like you have to deal with five of them. I think I'll call it Pong." Cassandra smiled.

"Hmm... that would leave little for us graphics-types. Maybe we could do something involving lots of physics puzzles? I've always found those fun."
