Begin Turn 5, Spring of Year 2
-- Tribal Updates --
The Wise One's tribe has gained knowledge of Hammers. Wise One gains a new title, 'The Storyteller'. The tribe gains a new ritual, meeting each season around a fire to tell tales and parables. The most popular are those told by the Wise One himself, repeated in exacting detail to later generations. The Wise One's tribe has gained an edge in spiritual conflicts due to increased wisdom and awareness.
The Minions of Chaos have learned to make Wooden Armor, and now use hammers and shields in battle. Their interpretation of Khorne's vision leads to a ritualistic bear hunt as a rite of passage for all young men. Bear pelts become the most common material used for clothing. They begin constructing various lifestyle improvements, which will take two more seasons of construction to complete. Daggers are used as common tools, mostly for ritualistic purposes. The people have given Khorne a new symbol, a crossed hammer and dagger over a blood-spattered shield. Due to the Khorne's interaction with the tribe, it has become more warlike and combative.
The tribe of Zerg rejoices in their god’s appearance in the flames. The fire pit has become a communal center for them, and they make ritualistic offerings of herbs and incense into it each season. They immediately begin laying plans for a grand temple. They decide to incorporate the Fire Pit and shrine into the temple’s design. The temple will take an entire year to construct, and will be finished at the end of next winter unless more men are drawn in to help. Zerg’s followers have now associated him with the element of fire, and he gains a small discount when dealing with fire. (Zerg gained secondary domain: Fire) The second village is still having trouble finding food and material for shelter; they spend the winter cold and miserable and remain a white token.
Noner’s tribe is astounded as the lion speaks, but rejoices at the message. They spend the winter celebrating their arrival and settling in. By the end of winter, a nice village has been built and food is plentiful. The likeness of the lion is now used often in tribal art and décor. The area they have settled in experiences a very mild winter, and the tribe is able to expand to a second small village. Noner gains a white token, as this new village is still being built and the people settling.
The tribe of Zeno Grath is weary from the long pilgrimage, but excited as they pass the halfway point and grew nearer to their destination. As they march, some of the men have decided to make more of the hammers during their rest breaks. The new hammers are smaller, with a better balance and grip, and are very useful as tools.
-- Events --
A follower of Khorne has taken to regular preaching in the village square, above and beyond the ordinary religious services. He has dedicated his life to worship of Khorne, and some of the villagers are annoyed by this as the man no longer contributes to the tribe’s survival or wellbeing. Nevertheless, his efforts have brought extra belief to Khorne.
Several villages in the Tribe of Zerg have taken to worshipping a false idol, and some belief has been diverted away from Zerg as a result. The villagers are unaware of this small cult, which meets in secret and worships an entity of the villager’s imagination which embodies secrecy. This worship, though directed at an imaginary entity, has cloaked the identities of the cultists from the senses of the gods. While you are aware of the cult due to the loss of belief, you will not know who exactly is a member, or where they meet, without further investigation.
A priest of Noner’s tribe has lain down a prophecy that the tribe will be successful in battle in the future. The prophecy is unclear on when this event will happen, but clearly relates a victory in Noner’s name by the tribe. Whether this is a true prophecy or not is uncertain but the people have embraced it and fully expect to win should they be tested in combat.
A mortal among the Wise One's tribe has learned to draw upon the Divine Essence which makes up the gods. Inspired by a dream within the Veil, he has learned the first sorcery among Mankind. This man, Davion Wolfe, has hidden his talent from the others in the tribe but his efforts are obvious to the gods and his mastery is growing. His efforts are feeble compared to the power of the gods, and pose no direct threat.
A man in the tribe of Zeno Grath has discovered a curious artifact. A twisted metal fragment was found somewhere and brought into the tribe. Unsure of what to do with it, the elders have stored it in one of the tents and are bringing it along. The metal fragment shines with power to the senses of the gods, though looks ordinary to mortals. It is very hard and its edge is sharp, as though it were torn loose from a larger piece of metal.
