I had forgotten about myself long ago. Whatever had happened to my self-awareness disappeared along with my sense of time. Instead, my mind was only filled with the present dramas of these ghosts, who had long since become visible.

The judge that had ended the first day early was now being ended. His robe fluttered about him. He threw it off, in a display that might be described as dramatic, but came off as desperate. He was no longer strong. He was scared.

He was some sort of Space Ranger, or something. Unfortunately, he was also dead. Which probably meant very little anyhow.

They convened after again finding nothing. It was time to get some sleep.
