2167: You have a moat of lava around your house

I'm highly suspicious that this has already been posted, but I'm not going to be the one to look it up... *looks to the other side while whistling*

2168: If Santa was to sneak into your house to leave some gifts, he would probably be killed by some of the traps laying around.

Anyway, happy holidays, everybody. xD
Search in "This topic" for "moat" finds: "438:  Wants to have magma moat for house".
Let's make your Santa one 2167 then.

Merry Goblin-or-whatever-race-DF-tosses-at-you Christmas.

2168: You believe that Santa, by virtue of being a jolly old elf, deserves nothing but a magma bath for trying to enter your home.

Happy Miscellaneous Winter Festivals everyone!

2169: By the time you remember that you installed a lava moat five years ago, you are halfway through constructing a new one.

How did we pass from inns with merry songs and happy music to temples of doom and medieval torture with so much easiness and eagerness??

You find yourself questioning your motivation to play any other game. After all, tracking the development of any individual dwarf's life story threatens to consume nearly all of your playtime, and no other game seems to quench that burning desire for creative output. A fortress with 80 citizens? I could spend a year fleshing out the interconnected relationships between each member and still have more to write, more to imagine.

. . .

What have you done to me, Toady?!

2171:You get so engrossed in making an entry for this list that you realize you are an example.  And forget to number it.

So go back and number it, now that you've fessed up?

Apparently no time for that. There is that 80-head fort to be managed.

2172: You have blueprints for a cannon that both shoots small mammals and sets them on fire.

2173: Your definition of hanging out on Friday night is to mutter curses at simulated dwarves.

2174:You can't be bothered to go back and number an entry you wrote for this list, despite someone skipping a number to make up for you forgetting.

2175:You simulate the beta uprising by naming all dwarves after yourself and modding goblins into 'chads'.

2176: You've lost touch with reality and find yourself acting like a drunken dwarf, picking fights with squirrels, deer, forum posts, and fast-moving vehicles.

2177: You have plenty of dogs of all sizes, but they have no breed, there's only war dogs and hunting dogs. Mostly war dogs, though.

2178: You have plenty of cats. Plenty of cats share the ownership of your person. You are thankful that they're not lazy cats and hunt their own food. But, dammit, they are so many that your life seem to be running in slow motion.
