My Net+ teacher and I got into a discussion in the middle of the class about whether or not www. was required in the address of a website to function.  Much of the class agreed with me that it was not.

After a bit the teacher brought up the school's main webpage on the smart board because others mentioned that it does not have www. in front of it.  And sure enough...

Afterward he said that will not be on the test.
