...Crud, I just noticed one of my questions a few pages back never got answered. Wow I'm just full of questions today >.>. Ok, you said a constant effect gives a constant drain on our power right? But if I created a disease or species would that be a constant effect? If so would only the original one cost me energy? IE I made.....dragons, just for the hell of it, one male one female who cost upkeep energy, they have kids, would the kids cost energy?

I imagine that sustaining them wouldn't cost energy while controlling them would, even if it's the kids.

EDIT: Why on earth did I say that creating them wouldn't cost energy?

Creating them would probaly use up large amounts of energy,  as long as they can care for themselves it probaly wouldn't cost upkeep energy.

Sorry I missed it, I'm distracted. Creating a disease would be an effect you must maintain until it is established and infects a large enough number of hosts to sustain itself. Essentially it would have to reach a 'critical mass' where the disease then perpetuates itself like any other contagion.

If you create a species, the first members would have to be maintained. The first new generation, assuming they could breed, would exist in their own right and would not cost you further power. The initial members of the species would require maintenance until their death, or until you allow them to fade.

Also, creating a species does not give you any control over them. You may influence their initial attitude but they will react as an independent entity after creation. Making a pair of dragons does not give you dragon cavalry unless you also pay to force them into submission or train them somehow.

Also Dragon Calvary would be interesting, but now imagine werewolves rideing Dragon Calvary.

Only if you suitably impressed them and convinced them to do so.
