If you need to make up names, try finding cities in countries with obscure languages and stealing those names...
Though it would be a good idea to have your city names sound similar to each other in the same area.

Aeta and Faelyn will basically be traveling south using trains as a primary source of transportation with many roadblocks along the way.

which reminds me. I will need a HUMAN antagonist that will try to take over the first train. this sequence of trouble right off the bat will be used to develop Aeta and Faelyn's powers a bit more. later you guys will be setting up numerous roadblocks on your own without me giving you many boundaries.

Along with that, I still need a name for the world, and we're still working on Bob.

Appearamce= a high school student. she always wheres a skirt and a t-shirt with a gear design on it. a silver gear hangs around her neck on a chain and gold gear earings hang from her ears.
Powers=time related
Bio=everyone has known clockwork as clockwork for as long as they remember. no one knows her real name. the teachers refer to her as clockwork, adults refer to her as clock work, her license even says clockwork. but now her time pretending to be normal is coming to an end. An evil force is rising again. thousands of years ago it was supposed to be locked awayby someone with her very namesake, but now it's excaped and after blood.

race: Changling
Appearence: Sharp features, unnatural beauty from long exposure to Faerie magic. Exposure to large levels of magic has caused her ears to develop a slight point
Powers: Combat skill, Stealth training, Faerie magic
Bio: Given up to the Faeries when she was just a baby, Faelyn was raised to serve her Queen, and taught the skills that would serve her well in her life, unnaturally extended by the peculiar nature of Faerie, as well as by the magic that has been layered upon her as a child.

Appearance: a tall High School student, with blue denim jeans, a tan t-shirt a plad over shirt and sometime a whit jacket.
Powers: none
Bio:  is related to the scientists somehow either a relative or some other relation
Personality: He likes to get his messages across accurately. this is sign of distrust he will often speak this way to strangers or people he is not comfortable with. speaking with big words and fancy language is just a front, an attempt to sound smarter than he actually is. People who he knows better he will be more lax with his choice of words. he is not cocky he's very strong willed. he chooses his words carefully in order to sound more intelligent than he feels he is. He has a natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
he enjoys competition. hates losing, and hates to admit he was wrong. He can be very stubborn.

Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: A pale, wrinkled old man with unfocussed eyes and a ragged beard
Powers:None
Personality: A jumpy old drunkard, he fears the supernatural and tries to outright deny that such things exist despite knowing that it does.
Bio: He was part of (insert nation heres) military before first coming into contact with (either some specific character or just the supernatural in general) was later thrown out of the military and has been living rough on the streets since trying to drink away this second world he has now become aware of.

maybe we should begin by listing possible motives for robbing the train, could be a number of reasons.
heres a scenario that came to my head.

the robbers want a train that is carrying money/diomonds,  unfortunately they would get caught if they stayed on the same track. so they hijack a less secure passenger train. The passenger trains route crosses paths with the targeted train, maybe even uses the same track and has to pass it. they use the passenger train for its engine detach the passengers, hook up the loot, and travel on an alternate track that would hopefully buy them enough time to unload a small fortune off the train and live greedily ever after.

also i'm thinking that the human antagonist should be an organised crime lord or something. who may have resources to have some idea of what the scientists are doing, but overall doesn't  know about the hidden world.

you could do that but most cities are named after the geology around them. like Chicago which means river. The word "Iteru" means river in ancient egyption and it kinda sounded city-like so i chose that. Lumen means  "light" in latin not sure why i chose that, Escondido means "hidden Valley" in spanish, and coriander i think is a seasoning or herb that grows in south-west Asia.

just an update on progres. due to the fact that a bunch of teachers dumped a bunch of work on me to finish for today, I've only a couple paragraphs done.

BUT!!!

I am officially on winter vacation now and should be getting things done a lot faster. I'm hoping (but not holding my breath) that I can get two updates in.
