Build a portal to the mortal realm, out of flesh. Tell golem 1 to gather rock, and golem 2 to gather flesh.

Turn 5: Access Granted

Quote from: Humaan
FORCE GREMLINS INTO TILE WITH MAGIC, REMIND THEM THE COST OF TREACHERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[1] vs [6] Not only do you fail utterly to bring the gremlins to you, they seem to develop an ability to slip away from teleportation magic!

[5] The gremlins gather stuff from the land, then promptly use it. You're not sure what's worth collecting out there, but it's quality, whatever it was.

Quote from: V-Norrec
I will gather iron, the ice golems will attempt to gather ice.
[4] You successfully gather some iron.
[2-1] Predictably, your golems only manage to make things worse.
+1 Iron
-1 to next Ice collection attempt in this hex.

Quote from: HmH
I gather one unit of rocks.
Sandfolk search for slaves again.
[1] You make things worse.
[4][1-1] Your sandfolk manage to find suitable slaves, but simply go into a frenzy and butcher them all. Their rampage succeeds in scaring away potential subjects for quite a ways.
-1 to next Rock collection attempt in this hex.

Quote from: tomas1297
Make skeleton build a bone gathering building thing while I gather bone.
[4] You gather bones.
[4-1] It's rather shoddy, but your skeletons complete a structure to help harvest more bones.
+1 Bones
-1 Bones-
New Structure: Boneyard- (50% chance for +1 to bone collection, limit one use per turn)

Quote from: quip
Get my Mud Crabs and me to dig a trench around a small area of land, all collected mud is to be gathered on the area of land cut off by this moat.
[2] You make some worthless, crooked trenches around yourself, but it's unlikely they'll stop anything.
[4-2] As expected, "your" mud crabs are stupid, slow, and don't recognize you as their leader. You'd be highly surprised if they understood anything at all, much less what you were saying.

Quote from: Jay Kayell
Build a portal to the mortal realm, out of flesh. Tell golem 1 to gather rock, and golem 2 to gather flesh.
[6][5][6] You create a massive, stable portal out of flesh. Whether for good or ill, it happens to lead to a dense human metropolis.
[4][3] Golem 1 finally gathers up a large amount of rock, while Golem 2 manages to harvest some bad flesh.
-3 Flesh
New Structure: Massive Flesh Portal
+2 Rock
+1 Flesh-

Do I need fuel for my forge or does it run off of magical fairy dust?

Depends on what you're making. Magical fairy dust is fine for most conversions, but if you want something fancy you might use fuel as an additional reagent.

Move South-West (tile 6 in your example) Gather iron.  I'll have my Golems forge the iron into Iron Bars (should make it easier to do what I'm planning on doing with them :D)

My ultimate plan is to magically combine Ice and Iron to form some kind of super strong crystal and create metal/crystal hybrid respawning humanoids.  I can do that right?

I will use my magic to attempt to save the Gremlins
You don't know where the gremlins are or that they're in trouble, so you can't really do that.

Yes, you can attempt to do that. Do remember that you'd need two units for self-spawners.

Darn, I was hoping if I saved them they'd serve me.  Ahhhhh well.  Hmmm, can you tell me where I am relative to the other players?

Build a castle out of rock. Tell golem 1 to build a third flesh golem, and golem 2 to gather more flesh.

Afraid not, you'll have to explore. Unless they have a special ability, units can move one hex a turn. That might be subject to change once we see it in action, but the number will never be terribly large.

But if I had the general map I wouldn't have to spend time researching where I am located to the other powers. . .

You only know about your seven hexes; you're not sure where they are in relation to the other players' seven hexes, or what the rest of the map looks like.

Of course, once you discover a player who's connected to other players, yeah, you won't really have to explore to figure out where they are.

You can only terraform one hex at a time, and can only do so to hexes you're actually in.

Spoiler: Oversized Picture (click to show/hide)

I guess now might be a good time to get hex naming conventions going. "West of Tile 1" and so on should suffice for now, though of course exploring will complicate that a bit. Everyone's realm looks essentially like that, save probably not with blue terrain and of course omitting everything interesting.

There's no real concept of owning or controlling hexes yet, but when there is (whether through treaty, force of arms, or just royal decree) I'll probably use a colored line across the interior of border hexes.
