Help MSH up and stare over the hole ready to play whack-a-mole.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Be on the look-out for the creatures, shooting the ones I see.

It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Be helped up and guard the direction opposite of the one Tarran took.

Stab the dog with a bolt. If that works, wrap a piece of cloth around my neck.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.

Tarran and MetalSlimeHunt:
Tarran helps Metal up, and the two of you position yourselves back-to-back.
[3] More hatchlings stream out of the tunnels, and although you kill many, you are overwhelmed!
[1+1] [3+1] Tarran manages to hold them off with only a few scratches, while Metal gets through with long gashes all over his legs.
The hatchlings retreate for now, but you're certain they'll be back.

Metal has -1 to dodge (leg wound).

SeriousConcentrate:
Ignoring the scuffle in the cave (They're grown men, they can handle themselves.) you continue north, across the bridge.
[4] The heat is intense, magma flowing onle a few dozen meters below, but you make it across fine.
On the other side is another natural rock pillar, but unlike the elevator's landing this one has little even ground to stand on. Huge boulders litter the surface, and the sides slope downwards at an alarming angle. There are two trolls here, but like the elevator operators they wear solid helmets to keep them relatively harmless.
There are bridges to the east and west, as well as a tunnel leading down into the rock.

HighEndNoob:
As the other two men hold off the beak-dogs further in, you stand your ground nearer the entrance.
[2] The dozens of holes make it impossible to tell where the next attack will come from, [6] but you trust your instincts and none get the drop on you!
[5+1] [2+1] [2+1] Your marksmanship is superb, [5+1+1] [4+1-1] [4+1-1] and you manage to drive them away without any injuries!

quip:
[2] You attempt to kick the creature off, but it holds tight!
[4-1] It finally hits an unarmored spot, drawing blood!
[1] Several more of them stream out of the tunnels, likely drawn by the scent of blood!

KaguroDraven:
You sit against a hole-free section of wall, your axe ready!
[1] A multitude of hatchlings attack, [5] [1] [4] teeth gnashing your [3] [6] body! Your begin losing copious amounts of blood!
You strike back, [3] [3] [4] [3+3+1-1] [4+3+1-1] [2+3+1] cutting them down easily, your artifact axe easily slicing through flesh and bone!

Rikishak is suffering blood loss (-1 to hit).

Zrk2:
You swing your axe, [2+1+1] catching the dog [6+1] in the gut, disembowling it!
The dog stumbles back for a moment, [3] and dies.

Dog 1 is dead.

Megaman:
You [2-1] grab the second goblin by the head, [1-1] but he slips out of his helmet and frees himself!
He thrusts his spear, [5+2] [4+1] catching your shoulder joint!

Rockman cannot use left arm next turn.

JacenHanLovesLegos:
You stab at the dog with a bolt, [6+2+1] inbedding it deep into its [1+1+1] flank, causing it to howl in pain and release your neck!
Dog 2 is no longer biting/choking Jacen.

Spoiler: Temp Mods and Notes (click to show/hide)

For those of you wondering, beak dogs are actually more like raptors than dogs.
And goblins can ride them.
