I don't think it's too late to join, you'll just have to wait a long time until one of us dies. Have patience, most RTD waiting lists take a long time to empty out. Especially this one since there's a lot of people waiting and so many currently in the game(thus keeping each-other alive). Why don't you guys start your own or join others with shorter waiting lists while you're waiting?

Or encourage us to kill eachother...
