MetalSlimeHunt, HighEndNoob and SeriousConcentrate, quip and Krath:
MSH and Gottric easily lift the door off its massive hinges, and the three gather round to get a glimpse of The Elevator.
It is huge, easily taking up a third of the space inside the citadel. Multiple shafts lead downward, lit from below with an unnatural red-orange light. Trolls, their entire heads encased in heavy copper helmets, work to lift the platforms up and down.

In the centre of the room sits a single goblin, but he seems unlike any goblin you have seen before.
He is ancient, hunched over and bald, but an aura of power and authority surrounds him. Only two kinds of goblins make it to old age, the cowardly, and the elite. As he stands, you notice his axe.
It glows bright, and, although it is undoubtably copper, gives off a feeling of sharpness, as though it could cut the air itself.

[2] Hamal's shoulder is still injured.
Tarran, KaguroDraven, and kilakan:
Tarran feels uneasy about continuing without Kilikan, and turns back, with Rikishak in tow.
She is easily found, having made her way back from the kitchen.
The three of you are in the Dwarven Dining Hall.
Kilakan's pain has diminished, [3] and she feels less affacted by her previous meditation attempts.

Try to work my way into a flanking position on the Axe Lord without being spotted.

What? If I'm going to be mistaken for a guard every time someone leaves or enters a room I might as well get some benifits from it. The benifit here isobviously avoiding a hard encounter with an axe lord...

It's... Okay. Personally, if I made that kind of art I would just throw it away instantly. So posting it is saying something good about your self esteem compared to mine. :P

[5] You train your crossbow on him, and wait for him to make the first move.

Hamal has +1 to hit on his next attack. [1] His wounded shield arm is still affecting him.
Tarran, KaguroDraven, and kilakan:
You make your way down the mysterious hallway, wary of burning trolls and other such nasties.
The northern branch of the hallway is untouched, so you leave it, and look down the southern branch, to see the rest of the group!
They seem to be transfixed by something, but they block your view of it.

quip:
You walk up to the Axelord, and strike a flirtatious pose!
[5-1-1-1] He sits completely still, you cannot even tell if he's seen you or not. It's almost as though you were not only in prisoner rags and covered in blood, but also trying to seduce a goblin who must be over half a century older than you. Huh.

SeriousConcentrate:
Your friends and the other goblin all seem to be devising some sort of strategy.
Screw. That.
You challenge him with some generic macho-man speech, and launch yourself into battle!
[6-2] He springs up instantly, too fast to follow! You strike out blindly, [6+2-3] landing a blow to his feeble old-goblin chest!
He is pushed back by the blow, but regains his composure almost instantly, [5+1] cutting a bloody gash through your [1+3-1] torso!

Demnas is slightly winded.
Krath:
You decide that now is the perfect time to earn back your honor as a free dwarf!
As Gottric distracts him, you come up from behind, grabbing his left arm!
[1+1-1] He seems to predict your actions, and reverses your grip, easily spraining your hand!

Urist has a sprained left hand, -1 to damage with that hand.

The Axelord spins, attempting to fight both the man and dwarf at once!
[4] [3+1] He succeeds [5+3-1] [6+1+3] spectacularily, worsening the open wound in Gottric's belly, as well as cleaving off Urist's entire left arm!

Gottric is suffering blood loss, -1 to damage. Urist is suffering blood loss, -1 to damage, and is missing his left arm, cannot wield large weapons/perform two-handed actions. both are in pain. (On the plus side, that sprain is gone. Yup.)

Alright, clearly taking it slow isn't going to work.

EVERYONE, ATTACK NOW BEFORE HE WOUNDS US ALL TOO MUCH!

Charge the weaponlord and smash his puny copper axe.

Also, FuzzyZergling, I say you kick Krath and kilakan off the game and put in two people from the waiting list. They're clearly just ignoring this thread.

Maybe after the boss, wouldn't want the new people to die right away.
