Not exactly originated, but the thread's been here since Episode 1, when I decided to shamelessly plug us. So it's the official thread, but we would've done it either way. Still, Fun was had

God, what's going to happen when these guys get their hands on some real companions? I know you haven't done any cheating yet, at least not in front of the camera. But if you must find Dogmeat, please set him essential. Otherwise he's, well.. it's in his name.

Uhm... I think you think we're playing the PC version where cheats are actually possible, which we're not. We're playing the 360 version, which means that if we find Dogmeat, he's a sandwich, specifically a meat sandwich of the dog variety. Unless there are cheats in the 360 version and I just don't know about them, but hey, I've got nine intelligence, I think I would have known that by now.

By the way, how long does it take to edit the video? I'm curious.

We recorded Ep. 3 on Wednesday, and it went up on Friday (I think?). So not too long. Of course, I could be talking out my ass and Shad might've worked on it for a full 48 hours.

But somehow... yeah, I dunno.

By the way, how long does it take to edit the video? I'm curious.

Well, first I sit down and go through all of the footage, and when I find something funny or something that would be funny with flying text, I cut it from the big video file and move it along to all the other cut pieces of the video. Once I've gone through all the footage (this takes many hours, by the way), I put flying text, images and sound effects where I feel they add to the humour, and then render the video. If I then notice a mistake, such as desynced audio or a scene ending a little too early, I have to fix that one spot and then re-render the whole thing all over again. Thankfully rendering only takes about 20 minutes, it's the uploading that's a bitch. Episode 3 probably took about 2 hours to upload.

Overall it can take, I dunno, about 10 hours to do all of that, provided there aren't any problems. Unfortunately I'm a procrastinator, and as such most things made by me take longer than average. The whole process actually gets really tiring since I'm watching a lot of the same footage over and over again, the humour slowly losing it's charm over time, so it's understandable as to why I spend much of my free time being a lazy fuck. This one came out quicker because I really pushed myself. Y'know, FOR THE FANS. HINT HINT.

So yeah, that was probably more than what you wanted to know, but whatever, I like my walls of text wall-shaped.
