What industry are you in?  This is relevant to my interests.

(Also, my boss was just talking about how in Thailand, living expenses are like $200 a month so you can retire at basically any age, move there, and live like a king)

I'm a programmer.  Pretty much the "go to" person for anything new, experimental, or due yesterday... but I love it while I'm at work.  It sort of kills the enthusiasm to develop anything outside work though.

I've also been told that Thailand is a great place to go vacation... been thinking about it. ;)

With the little wink at the end, it makes me think only of child prostitution.

How is it odd? Thailand has a reputation for that sort of thing.

Didn't know that... first things I think about are basil spicy food, temples and ruins.

Oh, heh. Sorry, I didn't mean to insinuate anything. I was just...you know. Thailand does sort of have a reputation. Thus the wink about the vacation having a different meaning, heh.

Hate to say it, but it shows a bit of your character (in my eyes) when you insinuate that I'd go to another country to have sex with kids, boy or girl.

I know that sounds harsh, but I can't think of another way to put it.

(Also, while at work, I prefer not to look up "ladyboy" but I assume it's NSFW.  I'm assuming it's a young boy that performs services as a lady, but I could be wrong.)

I think it says a lot about you that you can't take a joke, and have apparently never had Nightline or 60 Minutes on in the past five years or so.  And yeah, you've got the last one wrong.
