Awesome.

I have no idea what this means. Hidden reference? Easter egg? Randomized sentence? I would trust Toady to do all three.

Quote from: Confucius
“If names be not correct, language is not in accordance with the truth of things."

Perhaps a snarky comment by Toady about the random name generator?

It's Goblin for Dell Morningtrust.

Dell, like a grassy glade. What a kind titan.

I'd guess it's a titan spawned in association with a good-aligned biome.  They're rare, but occur from time to time and have names and descriptors befitting that alignment.  So it's possible the reason nobody got hurt was because the poor thing wasn't even willing to fight back.

Generating a world of purely good biomes and nothing but Titans results in four basic good descriptions.

1) Truth of all things.
2) An aura of giving and kindness.
3) Joy marks its every movement.
4) A look of unbelievable peace.

It seems certain that joyful movement indicates the Titan came from a Joyous Wild biome. At a guess, the truth of all things means a Serene aligned biome, and either a Giving, Kindly Aura or Unbelievable Peace means a Calm biome. Peace seems remarkably rare in the world I generated since there's only one of those out of twenty Titans. Meanwhile, Aura Titans seem rather common so that's probably the default Calm Titan.

Peaceful Titans might be Benign and won't bother your dwarves any more than any other benign animal. Of coruse, those could be turned around (outside of the Joyful Titans). I'm pretty sure that the rarity of the Peaceful Titans means something special though.

Presumably, there's also eight other Titans that represent the other alignments, but I haven't checked to see what they are.

oh he was willing to fight back, there was page after page of side-stepped swipes, thanks to my military's absurd dodging skills. Honestly they practice bitching out more than they practice fighting.

edit: If he had been captured by my cage traps i would have tried to make him tameable. i envisioned the pit with the smoky cave entrance and the vicious rabbit from monty python...

Huh.  I recall hearing good aligned titans were supposed to be peaceful; did it start the fight, or did you?

Unless I'm missing some, here are the Evil Titans.

1) Undulating rhymthmically
2) squirms and fidgets
3) bloated body
4) gaunt
5) emaciated
6) ravening
7) belches and croaks.

Bloated, Gaunt, and Emaciated are probably Haunted with Bloated and Emaciated being Zombie and Skeletal influences. Ravening and Belching are probably Terrifying while Undulating and Squirming are Sinister. Ravenous Titans might have CARNIVORE or something along those lines as well.

Savage Titans have:

1) A Regal Bearing.
2) An Austere Look.
3) Move Deliberately
4) Move Carelessly.

One guess is that Austere is Wilderness, Deliberate is Calm, and Careless is Untamed Wild. Regal is probably the benign Savage Titan.

I had a kindy and goody titan visit my fort.  It then got in through an unsecured fishing door (doh!) and slaughtered 1/4 of the fort.
