Quiet, all of you!  I have the conch!

I think, uh, I think you're thinking about Ralph, uh, Jack.  Right?

Exams and the end of the semester has tip-toed up behind me, beat me savagely, stolen my time, and left me naked and cold in an alleyway.

2 more days... just 2 more days, and I can get back on this. If I can finish two papers in a reasonable amount of time tonight, I can finish editing sheets that were already sent out, and send them to your PM boxes. Fingers crossed!

P.S. The Conch was a lie.

The conch was god.

It was a good plan, without the good sense to be gigantic boulder-proof.

I think you're mistaken. The Conch was used to get people's attention, and perhaps to signify leadership. The rotten pig's head was a god. It was called "the Lord of the Flies" by Ralph, I think.

"Lord of the flies" = literally Beelzebub = the devil.

Conch: civilization, leadership, whatever.

This was one of the books I prepared for the AP English exam... I had some crazy theories back then.

I reckon the conch would have worked. Tim just should have been immediately killed upon deferring.

Why killed? Tied to a tree or thrashed or something seems appropriate, but murder seems a bit extreme for a little boy.

I feel left out. Never read Lord of the Flies. I probably should, someday. *shrug*

Really? I've heard some very mixed reviews about that book, to say the least.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

I also enjoyed Moby Dick and The Scarlet Letter.  You may want to take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Enjoy Moby Dick, hated The Scarlet Letter.

Some other books I like: A Tale of Two Cities, The Count of Monte Christo, 1984, and Musashi.
