@ Solifuge: Yeah, I was about to type a bunch of questions about the google doc until I noticed that you were actually viewing the document. Haha. Update: Finished filling in my google docs. [Link Bookmarked]

EDIT: On the note of 12 steak dinners...Did you want to create a section for our items too? Even though we don't know which of our original items we'll be left with yet? Resolved. Thanks sidebar chat! Re: Kadzar (Solifuge will be adding inventories for us).

I don't know if you want/need all of us to tell you when we've got our sheets done, but my sheet is also done. I don't know what's up with the "d" in "Incapacitated" on the bottom table, but trying to fix it messes everything up for some reason, so I'll just leave that alone.

So how do we know how much equipment is lost? Is it random, or is it everything that would give us too much of an edge? '12 steak dinners'

Just throwing out pure speculation based on confirmed info, but I'm guessing that items we lose due to the initial crash is a balancing mechanic to make sure each player starts on roughly even ground - even if the ground is slightly barren ;).

And since items may either be in our own private inventories or tied to certain locations, we may end up finding lost possessions once our inventories on the island become more "powerful" overall?

Bloodshedder, if you keep your gun, make sure you clean it, check the firing pin, and overall treat it like your child. Somehow I feel game mechanics will be working against you.

Okay, I'm hosting character sheets on GoogleDocs. I've got the sheet format done, and have started on your character sheets... but I'm expecting you guys to do upkeep on your own sheets. Yes, I'll be keeping separate records too, so no writing in 12 Steak Dinners, but with this many players I'll need help with some of the overhead.

I don't have a Google Docs account, and I think Google follows me around too much as it is.  I don't suppose there's another way to handle this?  If not, I'll make an account I guess, I'm just asking.

No need for an account. I set them up to be edited anonymously, though each player only has the link to their own sheet. (Inventories and such are private)

I'm sending out PMs now... had to reformat the sheet.

Now that's useful. Whythankyou.

Wouldn't inventory items... not be private, though?

Would be if you want to hoard food.

I'm still punching anyone hoarding food. Except the vegetarians. And the vegan.

There are Item Caches, which are like stockpiles... shared resources that are public knowledge. These are also tied to one spot, so if you're exploring you don't have them with you.

Each character has an inventory, which is private, moves with with the character, and is limited in how much it can hold (a logical limit... EG you can't carry a whale carcass in your pocket).

We must hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall hang separately.

(No, I'm not going to quote the LOST version of that quote.  Ben Franklin > pansy Jack)

Why? Omnivores need vegetables just as much as herbivores.
