I recant my vote, unless when Fniff comes on there is a tie.

For the forest, then.

You decide on the forest.

You walk into the forest, dead trees all around you. The feeling of utter desecration surrounds you. The tree's skeletal limbs, in a permanent winter, reach up to the cold dead sky. It almost seems surreal, with your memories of beautiful forests brimming with life contrasting with this decaying picture of sorrow. One sentence comes to you.

Welcome to a fitting metaphor for life in general nowadays.

You come across something odd.

Nailed to a tree, there is a weird sort of impression of an owl with a Ranger's hat. It appears to be a sort of shrine. What do you do?

Examine the surounding area.

There appears to be a few shrines to this Owl Ranger, some with emphasis on the Ranger part, some with emphasis on the Owl part. This is kinda creepy.

Take one of the hats and wear it. Pull smoe feather from one of the owls and add it to your awesome hat. Also grab some more feathers as they might be useful later, then make like a tree and leaf before someone discovers that you desecrated the shrine.

You get the hat, but are interrupted!

A person wearing an owl mask and ranger hat screams at you.

"POLLUTE! POLLUTE!" He points at you. This can't be good.

"Hey, I am a scavenger. I can sell this back to you!

He doesn't seem too happy even when you say that.

"Yes, I know right? This hat was just lying around, polluting the eviroment, so I decided to help stop pollution by picking it up."

During this speech start sneakily edging away.

He stares at you, awestruck.

"Gvva! GIVVA!" He grins and points at you. Several other tribesmen come over.

"Givva...Givva...Givva..." They start chanting.

Throw the hat and run.

You throw the hat and run like hell.

You escape through the trees and dead bushes, while the tribesmen search after you.

You get into a particularly run down part of the forest,  when the tribesmen suddenly stop and say something. It sounds like Galloute or something. They walk away. Looks like this is the right direction.
