At least Powder Toy can help you understand why exactly it is not a good idea to throw tons and tons of plutonium in a city.

because as Dr. Spengler said, "It would be bad."

Damn, this looks fun, but I'm incapable of running program. It just crashes on start up. A poke in the help forum reveled someone with the same problem, but it's a shame their community seems to be composed of dicks.
I have noticed that every of the alternate .exe of 44.6 require a version of SSE.

42.3 had an executable for those with CPU without SSE function.
Try that version to see if your start up crash is related to this.

Ahh you just discovered what scientists call a "Self-Catalyst"

Either that or the mass caused explosive compression.

I tried a wire of glass and it appears fiber optics cables are possible in a limited sense

Someone could sort the photons in a prism and redirect the different colors to make some cool visuals I suppose, heh.

I had to try this like RIGHT AFTER you suggested it. It is even more impressive than your screenshot.

Doesn't seem to be a huge increase in power ...

I just removed the DEUT from my shell and stuffed it full of plutonium instead... The evidence seems to disagree with you. Pixel for pixel, Deuterium at absolute zero is by far the most potent nuke fuel.
I meant over DEUT at the default 22C. There is an increase in power at absolute zero, but it seems to level off after a certain volume is reached. I used hundreds of pixels of it at absolute zero, and it maybe doubled the destructive power that nine had. Which is to say, maybe what twice as much DEUT at 22C would do.

Photons increase pump temperature. Photons + pump = really high pressure.

Hold shift to get a 'straight-line' tool, ctrl to get a 'filled-box' tool. I think there are other ones, read the text that pops up when you start the program.

For drawing filled circles just increase/decrease the size of the already circular cursor (with mousewheel or if you have no mousewheel with [ ] for qwerty or ^ $ for non qwerty keyboards) and left click to create it.

For non filled circles, just draw a filled circle of the material you want, do not move the mouse, lower a bit the size of the cursor, and right click.

Ctrl-Shift for bucket fill.

You can also adjust the mouse from circles to ellipses by holding ctrl and adjusting the size (mouse wheel).
