Make sure you have reasoning explained. Though that sounds like it's good.

Sounds good to me, but yeah, you absolutely have to have reasoning.

You shake my hand=door handle
How very kind=polite to open doors I guess
You see right through me + Yet you're not blind=glass or screen
You pass right by me= walking through a door
No nickle nor dime=doors dont hassle you to pass
And shake my hand + One last time = closing the door

That and he said it was an easy one.

Swoosh! sounds like my riddle now.

You may think you are alone
In your house so dark and empty
But my family and I are here
And are there in plenty
Although we hang around in silence
You know we are always there.
And while we show you around
You first have to find us...

What are we?

This will be the last riddle this round. Next round (with a new theme) will start after it is solved.

So small am I
You may not know me
In every room I sleep
Waking up at need
beneath your notice
Though I serve you

Dust.
Quote
So small am I - dust particles are very small.
You may not know me - dust is hard to see in small quantities, but easy to see in large quantities. Thus the 'may' makes sense.
In every room I sleep - dust is all over your house, no matter how hard you clean.
Waking up at need - when even a small puff of air blows, dust is disturbed and sent flying, a personification of waking up.
beneath your notice - same as 'you may not know me'.
Though I serve you - skin cells used to protect us from harm before flaking off and becoming dust.

A socket

So small am I -- Sockets are pretty small
You may not know me -- If you're not an electrician, or are entering an unfamiliar room where you don't know where they are
In every room I sleep -- In a proper building, sockets can be found in every room
Waking up at need -- Plug and play
beneath your notice -- Beneath, close to the ground. Often overlooked until needed.
Though I serve you -- Pretty obvious, we tap its electricity when we need it

Alarm clock?
Quote
So small am I - depends on the clock, but your typical alarm clock is small and out of the way.
You may not know me - This is harder to justify, but maybe old people don't know how to work them? Don't know
In every room I sleep - "sleep" means "not being loud and annoying"
Waking up at need - You omitted the word 'you' between 'waking' and 'up'
beneath your notice - hard to notice a clock while asleep
Though I serve you - fairly obvious

As a second guess, perhaps a fire alarm? A lot of the things are the same; the "you may not know me" is again more difficult to puzzle out.
