It's a wallet.

A barrier placed 'tween stool and stone -- The wallet's usually kept in the back-pocket of one's pants.
for rest of weary back and bone -- Which is why one usually sits on it
Mirth of child, aim of man -- Kids like money, men like money obviously
Target of downsizing plans. -- Thief, robbers, they wants it

Sorry, not it. Again, kudos for good reasoning.

Well... Since you did mention your object is in a "grey" area considering the theme...

Ooh, that last part could be because commercials are always telling people how best to reduce the volume of their posterior!

That hint wasn't valid for me. Hmph. Ever since I was sitting on a window sill when someone unplugged it...

I'll submit this one!

We are the unjustly accused, sentenced to hang from the ramparts for no crime, for we had no hands to commit them, nor feet to pursue them, nor mouths to declare our innocence.

We are no less than 3, sometimes more, of varying heights and weights…some tall, some short, some fat, some thin…

Our tormentors visit us daily, from all corners of the lands-North, South, East and West. They are unceasing, setting us to strike against one another and making us scream.

And yet, our torture is music to your Tyrants ears.

What are we?

Not your turn, but:

Wind Chimes. They hang, have no hands, feet or mouths.

The typical wind chimeshave at least three? Varying in size and mass, though.

Winds come from every direction, constantly making a pleasant noise and knocking them together.

If not wind chimes, bells. I delegate the riddle to Pruvan.

RIGHT! It took me three minutes to make, and three minutes to solve...give me points for imagination.

I'm afraid that the riddle has no value because it was out of turn.

You shake my hand
How very kind
You see right through me
Yet you're not blind
You pass right by me
No nickle nor dime
And shake my hand
One last time

It's easy but I like it. I prefer solving riddles rather than thinking 'em up.  :-X
