((Bluh, router passed out for like the last half an hour -_-
but it seems to work now. Let's do this! T_T))

*In the meanwhile, a lone escape pod floating through space approaches the Ark. Or gets approached by it. Relatively speaking.*

((Yay for Relativity!))

*Vorthon starts up the Obsidian, and flies to one of the pairs of O'Neill Cylinders in the convoy, picking up the escape pod on the way. The exhaust from the fusion engine located between the cylinders acts a miniature sun, and the transparent portions of the cylinders periodically alternate between being transparent and nearly opaque, on a ~24 hour cycle, divided into two twelve hour portions. Vorthon lands the ship in a docking bay in the exterior of the city cylinder.*

"Now, let's see what we picked up..."

*He cracks open the pod.*

-Back with Ern and the LK and co.-
"So, where ya from?" asks Ern, looking at the LK from across the table.

*Groan* "I feel like I just rammed something really big." *looks around* "Which apparently is also the case..."
*notices somebody standing outside* "Oh. Hi..."

((It's not science per se. It's more a matter of where things are located. I don't know what you think, but even if the vacuum of space carried sound, you'd have to yell pretty damn loud for me or Taric to hear you, considering how far away we are. And, besides, hard science fiction is fun!))

((It's not about the hard-sf; your chars were just in the wrong place to be able to bump into our new arrival, as were the 'nids... *points to Vorthon's multiple ninjaings* What he said. Also, chem and physics are awsum. How do you expect to make boobytraps without them?!))

*Out of the cocoon inside the vehicle bay, several genestealers emerge, accompanied by little under two dozen 'gaunts, thus finally depleting the biomatter reserves within. They soon scatter and vanish, the confines of air ducts a natural habitat for them. A few of the unsettlingly stealthy genestealers, however, make a direct route to the accommodations of... a friend.*
