*a flowing, roughly humanoid mass of sand, roughly the size of an average human being, slithers into the temple. It is a servant of the desert Dao outside. Its voice is like the being which it serves.*

"The Dao havvvve calllled a meeting. They wissssh to disssscusssssss strategy."

"Figures. Kol! Stop orbiting that poor fellow's head, we've gotta go." *Ern glances at Arrek.* "Hey, want to meet some gods?"

*Kol looks a little dejected.*

"Awww... Do we really?"

"gods? why not, beings claiming to be the most powerful are fun to listen too once in a while"

*Tenshi is training in the floating fortress, running  the trap rigged obstacle course*

[Ochita]

*Ern walks up to Ochita and studies him.*
 
*His familiar floats over, and, upon seeing ochita starts floating around his head in little circles, his eyes wide.*

"Hello!"

*Ochita seems a little taken back, and just leans back a little.*
"Uhh... Hi."

*Continues to play Dwarf fortress*

*Starts engraving the crew quarters hallways*

"gods? why not, beings claiming to be the most powerful are fun to listen too once in a while"

"They're nature gods, personifications of biomes. The creator gods from my reality don't have physical bodies. Please don't mock them or call them phonies. A pissed-off dao is truly terrifying."

"i've seen too much to consider anything much as a god anymore"

[Ochita]

"Well Aegis can sort of summon gods... They're not always powerful though. And they seem to be somewhat limited by her..."

"Aegis?"

*Tenshi hops down from the fort and goes to look for sombody*

*The Hive Tyrant is by now bored out of its countless skulls and has taken to juggling the Ultramarines' chainswords, the howling instruments of gory death forming a figure of 8 as they fly, spinning, through the air and are deftly grabbed again by the thing's clumsy-looking hands.*
