"Well then..Wait, I keep something for this kind of stuff." He puts on another masks and transforms into a...full-sized red dragon?
HOLY CRAP.
Said dragon roars and begins destroying shadows by the dozens. Attacks simply bounce off his scales.

*As the numbers begin dropping, the dome of shadows above us begins to see gaps. The initial blast of shadows from the pipe has stopped coming and a dusty haze is rapidly filling the dome.*

Dariel sprints out, with only 2 shimmers remaining to follow him, the others having dissipated into light.

"well there is a happy ending, we also had shadows in our cities but they were different, they were more bound to the mortal world than the other places. well this guy named Gii comes by with his shadow spirit or Kikai named Porushion and literally cleanse the city from all corruption. abetted we were still mutated but we got to see the blue skies for the first time in years, beautiful view..."

Dariel struggles to break free but is unable, and all but one shimmer remains, and that one is fruitlessly trying to pull them off.

A massive claw swipes half of the shadows off of Dariel.
"This is nothing for this big guy," Jack says, spinning in place to slam quite a few shadows into the ground with his tail.

*Shadows begin to surround and overwhelm me, one latching onto my back and beating at my spine painfully*
"RAAAAGGH!!!"
*I grab the spine beater with my robotic arm and with a twisting throw, launch it far off. It flies into the top of what is left of the tower, and without inducing structural damage, blows apart. I am quickly am toppled over nad revert to flailing as self defense. A stray bullet flies off and blows the head off of one of Dariel's grapplers.*

A Shadow manages to puncture one of Dariel's liquid Tiberium canisters and he goes into a frenzy!
"DAMMIT!"
He simultaneously grabs one Shadow and drives it into the ground, while he digs through the head of another.
