"The warp cannon."

"Point, but everything is lethal in those conditions."

A: "But lethal to your squad mates, and everyone in a hundred feet away of open ground, or even hiding behind the nearest wall? And who the hell charges at you when you're packing that kind of stuff."

T: "The little fluffball gave me an idea. Pyrovores. Some ideas are so awful they loop right into great. If we can get some Mycetic spores hitting their ship with those idiotic critters aboard them, hilarity ensues."

[Twi]

"Not enough firepower. DEFINITELY not enough firepower. What's the range on that thing, anyways?"

"Also, you want to set it on fire?"

[Something Evil]

"Also, you want to set it on fire?"

T: "On fire, corroding and exploding at the same time. From the inside out. Metal-fluoride fires are wonderful to have in the confines of a starship."

[Twi]

"Assuming it's your opponents, obviously. So what's the actual chance of making that happen?"

[Taricus]

"The warp gun has a range of plot"

*answers amy.*

"Depends on the situation, environmental conditions and soforth. I say bugger it and just use a GL."

[Something Evil]

T: "Slim. First, my preparations for becoming space-capable are not complete. Second, point-defense is still a problem. I could harass the ship with drones and saturate point-defense with decoy, empty spores, but until an organized attack can be put together..."

[Twi]

"How vague. Anyways, I propose we go call up the GDI people if they're still intact. There's no way they can be lacking in dakka."

[Phantom]

"Well, they were attacked by Khorne a few minutes ago."

[Twi]

"Still, dakka."
Kata dials up the GDI colony.

[Phantom]

The GDI Colony base thing answers.
"Need anything?"

[Twi]

"Something to blow up that rather hostile giant ship with."
Kata rambles off some quantification of the location of said giant ship.

[Vorthon]

((You guys do realize your fighting a near-omnipotent race, right? You're like little ants biting at their ankles. It just pisses them off.))

*Two more ships drop out of FTL, this time much closer in. They orbit the star, and a number of drones are deployed, which begin seeking out colonies. One by one, the signals from colonies around the system start going dead.*

*A radio message, this time in english. They've been listening in on you...*
