*Jon holds Ochita's shard tightly*

*A small fire spirit appears, and throws 3 small fireballs at a shadow.*

*The 'nids land Ochita and Nyra at the edge of the hole, where the large and heavily armed strains wait. Most seem equipped with fire and plasma weapons, while others merely with high-rate of fire guns.*
"Any thoughts as to get them to stop before they walk into a firing lane?"

'and then, they'll taste my claws' *18 inch claws sprout out of Tenshi's hand and she slices a board of wood in half with them*

*The Tyrant holds out a larger necklace towards Tenshi. The central stone, an oval Alexandrite the size of a thumbnail softly changing color from emerald green to deep crimson as different wavelengths of light pass through it at varying angles. Its setting, rainbow titanium, encases it in a nearly inch-thick band of square tortoiseshell-like plates, rimmed and held together with more of the same multicolored metal. The plates themselves have thin cobalt-blue slivers, making curling fern-like patterns in the amber-tan squares, with much smaller color-shifting stones glimmering in their corners. The piece seems to grow comfortably warm when held.*

"A gift to celebrate your recovery, as well as to compensate for lodging, and the damage my presence has attracted."

*It points to the rather large area the spawning pools occupy, as well as the telltale glass slabs and burnt foliage around them.*

"My only request is that you consider wearing it if you decide to visit the CSE settlement. My first seemed to warrant attention, and having one worn in plain sight by you would cause quite a demand for such goods, I believe. Whether you wear it otherwise is up to you."

*It grins widely, then throws another voidblossom into its maw, then takes off.*
"It seems there is an invasion. I should attend."

*She finishes building the roof and settles down to chill again

Jack sighs, then says, "Bury it under several feet of concrete? Or iron?"

[Phantom]

"Well, what about my shimmers?"

[Twi]

"Those things? I doubt they could hold off all of those Shadows by themselves...Then again, what do I know?"
Jack laughs quietly.

[Tellemurius]

*looks sternly*
"we took industry so seriously we forgotten the warnings and thus our punishment, dark creatures appearing everywhere, buildings exploding mass panic, then.....there was nothing. We continued but as broken people, we couldn't get out, the government wouldn't let us; we stayed in that dark hell for years."

[Twi]

"I'm more frightened by the fact that this came from water," Kata says.

[Phantom]

A Shimmer bursts through the oncoming wave of Shadows, and signals Dariel. Dariel creates 4 more shimmers, and the fight is held off momentarily.

[iceball3]

*Rumbling is heard from the pipe yet again. Quite suddenly, a surge of shadows shoots straight up in the air, ballooning around us and landing just outside were most of us are, completely surrounding us all around and above. They begins sending shadows out, which quickly dart out ot engage each of us. There is one difference though. They seem... weaker, then the previously encountered ones. Almost as they were fragments of a much larger power rather than original powers like the ones we fought the other day. My face then begins to show slight concern on this notion, as I grab a shadow and hurl it across the shadow dome we seem to be caught in.*

[Ochita]

*Jon concentrates, Ochita hears it and he brings Aegis.*
"What do we do?"
"I don't know! Nyah!"
"Aegis, what if I fused with you...?"
"What? You can fuse with her? Then do it!"
