T: "The pools are always at your disposal. The fluid should replace damaged tissue with ease. As for your loss of power, does this have any connection to the battles with the Elders?*


*Amy curls up into a ball, the momentum of the motion making her turn over and over, fluffy tail trailing behind her. She eventually stops, bracing herself against the ship, and reaches out to Crystal.*
A: "Come on, it's fun. Just make sure you give up on any ideas of up, down, left and right. And don't spin too hard. Your inner ear is kinda stupid."

*Crystal takes her hand and unbuckles*

Y:"Yes"

[Vorthon]

*The the room Amy and Crystal are in is part of a ring oriented around the main propulsion unit of the ship. Said ring begins to spin, producing artificial gravity through centripetal force.*

*Nuglush, in his ghost-like form, seeps up out of the ground near Yumi. An evil-looking grin is spread across its 'face'.*

Nug:"Did I hear what I think I heard?"

Y:"That I plan to reduce you to your component particles and turn them into flowers?"

[Vorthon]

*Nuglush hisses like a snake and recoils.*

[Something Evil]

T: "One should, now, see how to undo some of the damage their idiocy has caused. But first, some relaxation might be in order after your battles."
*It shoos Nuglush away.*


*Amy almost falls flat on her face. She gets up, grumbling, and looks for the switch for the gravity generator.*
A: "Stupid automated systems... It's a damn dropship, not a cruise liner. It's not even supposed to have this."

[Vorthon]

*Nuglush merely floats there. As whatever appendage the tyrant uses in its shooing attempt passes through Nuglush's incorporeal form, it becomes coated in frost, and the armour on it cracks as it shrinks from the cold.*

*Amy finds the switch.*

*A small holographic face combining features from Amy, Crystal, Erneral, and Kol appears nearby.*

"It's a precautionary measure. In case whatever ship that normally carries me is destroyed, and I have to transport my occupants long distances. The CSE isn't exactly the most peaceful place."

[Something Evil]

*The Tyrant was, in fact, standing quite a few feet away, and just making a shooing motion with its hand. It stops after a short while, and disregards Nuglush, looking at Yumiko.*


*Amy disengages the rotational unit, and lifts herself off her feet again.*
A: "And not the brightest, either. This thing drops structural integrity, makes for more things to have a chance to break, uses extra power and takes up extra space. Capital ships, sure. But when you need to maximize survivability, comfort doesn't really factor in."
*She floats to Crystal, taking her hand again, and pulls her out of her chair, still in a seated position, gently guiding her motions.*
A: "I remember the time when our ship lost gravity generation due to a lucky shot. Sleeping was very... interesting for about a month."

[Vorthon]

*A tiny disk below the head detaches from the console and floats over to Amy and Crystal. It appears to be the projector for the head.*

"Well, I was designed to be carried by an slower-than-light interstellar transport designed to scout new systems. There's been some advances in CSE wormhole technology lately, and that's changed things. Before, if whatever ship that had carried me to a system was destroyed, it would've been taken years, maybe even decades just to get back to the nearest CSE outpost. Several decades of zero gravity isn't good for most species."

[Something Evil]

*Amy lies back in midair.*
A: "Eh, don't lose your head. And I still don't get why do more than get out of trouble. When the coast is clear, call for an FTL tow truck."

[Vorthon]

"We're only a few dozen light-hours from the wormhole back to... whatever the name of that system we left a while back is."

Y:"Is there something you need Nuglush?"
