"Finding settlements and such. Now would you leave me be so I can fix it? Not to mention make said signatures less obvious."

[Phantom]

"And where did you get said metal to build this? And to make whatever device emitting said signatures?"

[Twi]

"Kata made it for me."

[Phantom]

Dariel sighs, then leaves.

[Twi]

Thera leaves as well...
And with loud mechanical noises, the towers...retract into the structure, leaving only a rapidly filling hole in the sand as proof that they were there...
And the pinging stops, woo.
"Well, that was...different."

[Phantom]

"Not what I expected at all."

[Twi]

"Yeah...At least it's not anything bad."
In the distance, the towers rise from the sand again, but this time the pinging is not felt.
Also felt: A great deal of relief, presumably Lavi's.
"Much better."

[Phantom]

"Where does Kata keep getting that metal, anyway?"

[Twi]

"Maybe she has a mine somewhere?"

Oh, by the way, the thing Aegis made for Kata is apparently the device in question. Plus some screens and the giant metal antennae above.

"Eh. She only has to absorb it, it's quite possible that all she has to do is literally soak through a particular vein to easily extract all of it's metal."

Meanwhile, Jack has teleported over to the GDI people in the form of...a wireframe. More specifically an almost exact copy of one of the Wireframes from Super Smash Bros. Melee. Huh.
