Dariel is back to ruin exploring, woohoo.

*Inside the ruins, Dariel finds something vaguely resembling a cross between a scorpion, a leopard, an octopus, an anglerfish and a millipede. It's big. And ugly, very, very, very ugly.  And asleep in the middle of a room full of gold and silver and platinum and electrum trinkets and stuff.*

[Phantom]

He blinks.
"...Great, I can't use explosives 'cause a friend needs things like that. *sigh*"
Dariel tries to strip the things soul via Psionics.

[Vorthon]

*Dariel finds the thing is merely an animal. A predator, to be exact {DUH!}. He finds the following 'thoughts in the creature's simple mind:*

((Actually, Strip Soul has nothing to do with actually entering it's mind...

The Psyker attempts to rip apart the very soul of the target. Even if the attack is not lethal, the victim will be severely wounded.

This time, Dariel tries to shock it with lightning before attacking it with his Power Sword.

[Vorthon]

((It's a soulless killing and eating 'machine'. Its main 'goals' in life are the three things that it keep repeats in its tiny brain))

*The creature stirs, and Dariel can hear a deep, aggressive growling.*

[Phantom]

{Well, this can't be worse than the Black Crusade.}
Dariel charges at the thing, Laspistol in left hand, also being fired, and sword in right.
"FOR EMPEROR, AND IMPERIUM!"

[Vorthon]

*The creature lumbers forward, not taking notice of the wounds inflicted by the laspistol, and tackles Dariel. Its fangs drip a foul-smelling venom.*

[Phantom]

Dariel works on cutting said fangs off via Power Sword and shooting them off via Laspistol.

[Vorthon]

*The creatures attempts to bludgeon Dariel to death with the blunt portion of its stinger. When I said big, I meant 'tour bus' big. So, said stinger is probably the size of a grown man, at least.*

[Phantom]

The Laspistol has been holstered by now and the creature is being continually shocked by mind Lightning while Dariel is trying to cut his way out from the thing, also slicing at the stinger should it become close.

[Vorthon]

*The creature roars in pain upon having its stinger severed, and it unfurls its tentacles and starts swatting Dariel with them. It also starts poking him with many leglike feelers.*
