Bored, Dariel walks over back to the scene of the battle, and and yells in horror at what happened to the Baneblade. Note: He didn't notice in the middle of the fighting.
"CRAP. BROTHER!"

*It just looks at the Spider thing, sighs, and looks back to the horizon.*

*The Tyrant turns its armored head to the Guardsman, row upon row of bolt-like teeth shining in the weak light, alien blood running down its side.*

"I have existed for milenia, doing what comes naturally to us: Eating. We have Eaten thingsss, people, citiessss... Ssssocieties. Do you know what happenssss to what we Eat? It becomes uss. All the memoriesss, the hopesss and fearsss of everything we ever Ate, become a part of usss, forever locked inside the Hive. We know their dying fearsss, and think the thoughtssss of the dead. Nothingg truly diesss once Eaten. That isss how we knew how to fight Mankind with ssuch effficienccy. We do not posssess remorsse, sssympathy or anguissshh, but we have learned it. I cannot expresss apology for what you have endured fighting usss, as I am only a part of a much larger whole, and the very nature of that whole dictates that we Eat, or Perish. And if we Perish there is no coming back. I lie here before you, wounded, and tell you that I can not expressss regret, or vow to make amendssss. And if I die here, far, far away from where I have been formed, I will Perish."

Thera hugs the Big Daddy protectively.
Then she notices a small crack in its armor.
"Whoah. You're not quite okay."

Dariel cries, knees on the ground.

"Feeding one, you need not the ability to make amends, or feel regret. You merely need the ability to listen to directions. I shall send for a healer regardless of your answer, for I am not that cruel. But I urge you to make a decision quickly. Kel'thuzad, get The Feeding One some assistance."
"Yes, sir."

*Lies down on it's side and mopes*  ((Since it's not assigned to a particular Sister, it can't exactly self-destruct, but it might possibly just lie there and wait for entropy to kick in, since there's no sister to protect.))

Thera points out the damaged point on the suit.
"And I doubt we can fix it with you in it...can you even get out of this thing? Or at least take the helmet off?"
She begins searching for something that would do just that.
((Can you? I don't remember if it was ever actually stated in Bioshock... Being able to take off the helmet, at least, would make sense.))

[Phantom]

The Guardsman arrives, face wet with tears. He sighs.
"Let the thing live, I won't let it die alone in a place like this. At least if he died with his Hive, he'd still live somehow..."
He heads back towards the Baneblade wreckage.


((Also, Subject Delta's helmet was able to be taken off, so...))

"Go ahead. If you mind I have some final respects to pay."
