*Crystal looks up*
"I had a run in with a salamander.. it took offense to me not wanting to french it."

[Something Evil]

A: "A what?! Don't those things live in small pools of water? Hold still for a bit..."
*Amy comes in and looks at the wound, then goes to her weapons vest and fishes out a toothpaste-like tube.*
A: "It's just a light burn. It'll hurt like hell for a while but not much damage."
*She passes the container of cyan, minty-smelling paste to Crystal, and points to a small patch of skin on her chin where the fur has only just started to regrow.*
A: "This stuff works wonders. Just cover the burn. It'll sting for a bit, but then it'll dull the pain too."

*Crystal hands it to Amy and rolls on her side, revealing the patch of burned fur* "If you would be so kind as to minister to me?" *Crystal grins*

[Something Evil]

A: "It'll likely hurt like hell if I'm spreading it. I don't know your pain threshold and I may end up putting you in more pain than it's worth... And that still doesn't explain what a tiny water-dwelling lizard had to do with this."

"But I'm likely to wimp out and stop if it hurts too much.. and frankly, if it means my fur growing back properly then it's pretty high... and the salamanders, they're pretty big"

[Something Evil]

A: "*sigh* You can't wimp out... the pain goes away in a minute if you... oh, okay... just don't say I didn't warn you... And why do I have the feeling that we're not talking about the same kind of salamander?"

"Probably because we aren't..." *Crystal closes her eyes in preparation*

[Something Evil]

*Amy smears the paste onto her fingers, then slowly starts covering the burn, putting as little pressure as possible lest she hurt her precious fox.*

*Crystal winces a little when a sensitive spot is touched*

[Something Evil]

*After a while, the wound is covered, a strong minty aroma wafting in the room. Amy looks at the tube, about 1/6th emptied, and sighs.*
A: "Well, all my stuff is threatening to run out eventually. Just don't let anything touch the spot for a while. The paste will harden in about an hour and keep anything from touching the burn. And I'll have to get you a hazard suit or something at this rate. Is it just me or does everyone here have no regard for the personal safety of those around?"

"That's pretty much true.. I'm just worried about Yumi at this rate.."

[Something Evil]

A: "Is she coming back any time soon? The bug dude tends to jump into my head every once in a while so... it?... has someone to bitch to about anything and everything. 'Told me that some idiots had a shootout and she got hurt pretty bad..."

"I hope so.. I don't think she can survive in the state she's in"

*Killious is still outside practicing.*

"So. Maybe I should start with my training today? If things keep going the way they are, wild beasties are going to be the least of my worries"
