*She takes account of the golems' speed and reaction times while fighting Clay, and dashes off to one, weaving under its blow, then climbs onto its back with disturbing swiftness, using its knee and then its hip as ladder points. A right arm slung across its shoulder to brace herself, Amy swings a left hook into the base of its neck, the simulacrum of a limb able to put far more strength into a blow without the risk of self-injury.*

*Amy watches for a bit, then looks around to find where the laws of physics ran off to. She then runs for a new golem, going low, punching out one knee joint, then rolling away from it when it topples, leaving it to flail impotently on the ground. She goes for her third, going for its left elbow, then blowing off its right shoulder. She climbs on its back unmolested, takes a short breather, then rises her hands, cupped together, into the air and bashes its head in. She jumps off and scrambles to a fair distance away, gasping for air.*
A: "What's the point of fighting these things in hand-to-hand? They've got nothing to rupture or gouge, they hardly think, and are more sluggish than any trained solider I've seen."
