The problem is your larvae are far to heavy to be carried anywhere by spores. They'd drop like a stone without being projected somehow, and even then the range would be minimal. You could decrease the density by increasing the size, giving them more lift, but that would definitely make them visible, if small and barely noticeable.

Maybe we should mutate at some point to look like dust particles.

Or, for that matter, we could develop smaller, lighter larvae. Even a single dorment cell could be VERY effective at beginning a infection, though the effects would take longer to appear. As long as anti-codons don't figure it out, it would be harder to treat immediately.

I'd say a dense mass of four to five cells, not just one. Basophils could take out one with relative ease.

True. We cannot have a parasite die before we even get started. The size of the parasite at that moment, luckily, would still be small enough to be airborne. It will also cause partial paranoia, because anyone could be infected, and they could infect you without even zombifying. Survivor groups would be divided, because there would be a risk of infection at ANY time with someone right next to you. People would rarely use complex means of travel, like airplanes or trains, because of population density. In airports, people would seldom get near eachother, in fear of spread from other parts of the world. For that matter, it could spread to many countries before the original infected. As travel breaks down, riots would occur, just making it worse as infected would spread it to members of the crowd. Human teamwork is discouraged by this, and our hordes become pretty damn dangerous.

This is why we should just stick to using bold for mutation submissions, and normal text or perhaps itallics to mark ideas for the future.

Hey, you seem like a good guy with these type of forum games. I was thinking of running one, like the Godhood ones, but instead of making a universe, you'd be making a wasteland. People would suggest what to do next with the wasteland and I'd comply. Good idea?
