I am going for a creature that looks a lot like a blood cell (Or protein?) that hangs out in the blood supply.

Pros: You can go anywhere in the body, and thus evade detection.
Cons: May not have as much control over movement, thought etc.

You also wont have any control, and your parasite could get killed by blood loss ( pretty weak for a zombie)

Hmm...

Good point.

Maybe blood cell for incubation period, then becomes tentacled parasite do-hickory.

Edit: Seems like no-one likes Alabama.  :'( EVERYONE IS SAAAAD.

Oh, yes. I think we should have some music for this thread.

Will this do?

I don't think you can embed videos on this forum.

Also we've already got centralized so unless you are suggesting a single cell sized creature can control an entire body it's not an option any more. Possibly as the eggs/larvae/whatever for infecting though.

Yeah, I checked.

I was a bit silly and a bit too fast with that post.

I guess the first thing to do is to find some hobos, preferably sleeping or unconscious, and start infecting. I would suggest trying to bite areas in a way that makes the bites hard to spot, but checking our stats I think that's a bit ambitious. Has the incubation time been mentioned in this thread yet? Knowing it would be useful for planning.

As a Hobo in detroit, do we even need to bite others? If we can pick up a can of soda, or some food, we can simply take a sip or a bite out of the food item and SHARE it with other hungry hobos: wouldn't "Transmission: Body Fluids" (i.e. Saliva) do the trick?

Anyway, this is looking fun: Bring on the Hobocalypse!

I say that we start spitting at people, and pissing on all the other hobo's beds, that way there's a huge infection rate of people with no physical identifications other then a hobo spit on them.

Well, that could work... But I think we are in late stages, when the hobo becomes a zombie.

Unfortunately, your parasite larva is not powerful enough to burrow through the skin or mobile enough to find another way into the body. It needs to either be ingested or have direct access to the bloodstream to infect the host. If, however, you purchase and develop an actual larval form, this is definitely an option.
